The thing is I don't really write on the questionnaires as the results are entered online. I often read the briefs online and don't bother printing everything.

Be careful, some companies want you to print everything, some want those paper copies filled in right after the job and some will even ask for a copy of them. Paper and toner are cheap, they are also tax deductible so its best to hang on to them. I do save most briefs as PDF's on the PC though.

Do you mean a video? Sounds good. . I use my phone to odd write notes.

No, all smartphones have a voice recording function, use this as video storage starts getting a bit big after a while.

I tend to use Evernote for making notes after a job, Google Keep is a good alternative.

I know MysteryMe mentioned that the purchase requirements for the coat shop on RE/MF had changed. Is this the same for everyone? There is one sat on my job board. I wouldn't mind doing it but not if I have to spend that crazy 3 figure sum. If that sum has dropped, I am more than happy to do it.

    Thanks.

PS. The GR catalogue shop is a bummer now. Takes far too long and the fee does not reflect this hence me not doing them anymore.

The easy answer is contact the allocator, two on my list have got the new spend and one hasn't, they can only say no but the length of time they have been hanging around you might just get some bonus out of them as well ;-)

According to GR, blame the client, if I recall correctly they did the same with ABAi

No, I use the dictaphone function when I have left the vicinity of the shop.
  • I would welcome some advice on TNS please.
A couple of months back, whilst uploading an image of a phone shop, I inadvertently uploaded the wrong image (same client - different town that I had done a couple of days earlier).
I got a snotty email which pointed out the error I had made. It went on to say that I was in breach of their agreement and they would take sanctions against me. (No option to say sorry, and to upload the correct photo, just go straight to jail and do not pass go!)
I can still log onto their website and my account is shown as "Active".
However, there have been no jobs shown as being available to me since I committed the error.
I would welcome advice as whether TNS are ever likely to rescind the sanctions and, if so, how long should I wait? Or, should I just close my account and forget about them completely?
Alternatively, if anyone has contact details for a nice person who works for TNS perhaps they could PM me/
    Many thanks - Terri

Looks like you are the victim of a proofreader with an attitude problem. I've certainly attached the wrong photo to a job by accident, once they didn't pick it up I did...

Put an email together explaining the genuine mistake and send it to the contact address ASAP, the guys who monitor this over the weekend at damn good Brandon in particular will or should sort you out.

How ridiculous, surely TNS should have given you a chance to upload the right image before going off on one. There is clearly no intent to breech anything on your part, You just made a simple error.

Terri- I had a similar thing happen with another MS company. I simply queried a brief on a public forum, where their staff were also present. There were no rules to say I couldn't do this and others were doing the same, with apparently no problems. I was hoping for a quick answer because their CS never replied to my emails. It resulted in my account being blocked because they claimed their clients could see what I had written and might not have liked it. They felt I was insinuating dodgy business practice, but I was simply asking a question. I never have been able to get my account back. IMHO- you're better off without those companies as they have terrible 'customer service' towards their workers.

  • A bit upset. Job done for company on Friday, done results and tried to send using their system but it doesn't work (this happened before), saved the results and have left 2 messages. You keep getting the automated emails but can't actually present your situation. I have also sent queries on the actual job

If it is the weekend and there is a problem, they should have this factored in. I would not let anyone down and if I couldn't do something I would have let them know. It is very unfair.

I never have any problems with my main company as there is always someone around and the system works.:(
