I do call ignoring people and answering them in a curt fashion 'rude'
If I ignored you how can I have answered you? I speak and I find being a blunt Northerner, apologies if you took offence.who made you forum cop?
No one, and I don't intend to take that role :-)Also, I have not quoted any clients or fees relating to specific clients or their work since joining here.
You have, you quoted a poster who had included the name of a client, the poster can go in and edit their post (as they have done) but can't edit what you have quoted.0 -
There is still a couple showing as available and just wondered if you can do more than one shop if they are at different places ?? It doesn't mention it in briefing notes.
It does but I don't blame you for not seeing it, GfK briefs are a bit of a mess and hard to read at the best of times.
For those shops you can do one per town in a day (if you are in a city and the stands are quite a way apart you might persuade them to let you do them) and you can't shop the same advisor within 3 months.
Advisors on the stand change quite often but you don't know who is there when, I've had two times now where I've had to abort because I've shopped the advisor on another stand recently.0 -
Right then, can everyone stop being so touchy?? :-) For those who are newbies and don't feel that you have been responded to, truth of the matter is that with so many comments sometimes questions get lost and not responded to. People dip in and out quite often as I'm sure you will understand.
In addition I don't feel there is any need to be rude, I don't think that anyone here is intentionally rude but it can come across that way, especially when you write about something you feel strongly about. This is not aimed at anyone in particular Im just trying to be devils advocate here.
So we all need to chill, take a deep breath, drink some green tea and listen to whale music.
Sending out a virtual group hug. Hope you all have a financially productive and proof reader free week.Well, you can tell by the way I use my walk

My stand was unattended today. Rang the hotline. Anyway, at least it was easy to take a pic.0

I've seen quite a few assignments on MF where you have to phone an 0870 number to record the call. Since I'm on Virgin Talk Weekends I'm going to be charged 11p for connection plus a further 10p per minute. I think the call for a £5 job could take a good ten minutes, so this modest fee is going to get eaten into quite a lot. I don't suppose there's a way around it? A search on saynoto0870 didn't come up with anything unsurprisingly.0

Sadly I've not seen a way around it.0 -
I have an app on my android mobile phone - it was free to download from google play store - it automatically records all my incoming and outgoing calls. You can then download it on your phone or pc and upload to the report - voila!0

MF will not (or haven't up to now) allow us to use apps like that.0 -
Yeah but how will they know? An mp3 recording is an mp3 recording how do they know if it was rectel or an app that recorded the call.0
-
Because they collect the call recordings from the provider of the 0870 service not from your email.
I do think they should update the system to allow use of an app - or go with a provider that doesn't attempt to eek out a few extra pounds from the shoppers. I'd accept some of those jobs if it weren't for the 0870 number.
Mind, the jobs seem to go so maybe no incentive to change. Maybe people call from work so their employer foots the bill. Unfortunately I'm self employed so I pay my work phone bill and my personal one!0
