Done a number of assignments for them in september and one towards the end of august and was wondering when I can expect to be paid for them.0 -

Anyone, like me who needs to keep their credit history clean for a real life loan should avoid any of these assignments until that process is over, just like I am doing.
I made sure numerous times that no hard credit check would be recieved, yet as the bank account they wanted us to open had overdraft facilities as standard, a full check was carried out.
I do agree with Big Graeme about not going to a client, and would never if it didn't affect me so drastically (now have it in writing from the underwriters of my mortgage what I would have been offered had the two credit checks not have been there, and we are talking a 1.4% difference on the rate)0 -
I rarely do MS these days but I must admit GR are the best. Did a visit on Monday and the payment will be in my bank tomorrow. Top notch!
A bit miffed that React have swiped the torso shop from GR though. I used to love doing that visit.
Hope everyone is keeping well and still making loads from MSing.0 -

Thanks for the warm welcome to the board. NOT. Jeez, I've posted aless than a handful of times and that is the first response I get from anyone..."don't talk cobblers" being the opening line. Well, no one can accuse you (or anyone else, for that matter) of being over-friendly and welcoming on this board can they!
I think the message was about Mystery shopping companies duping MShoppers into taking on assignments they might otherwise have declined. This has nothing at all to do with making a rational choice as to whether to decline a job knowing full well you will be credit checked.
You really do need to read the brief. :beer:0 -

If you can prove, unequivocally (on a balance of probabilities, which is always based on factual not fictional evidence) that you have been deceived about the work you accepted and could do nothing at all about the deceit before it is too late - bar not accepting the job knowing that it would be a full credit check - and you can also prove that there is a direct link between that MS related credit check and your new mortgage rate hike, I would seriously consider taking legal action to sue for any material losses you will incur (bearing in mind that you need to show you can't get a lower, more acceptable rate elsewhere). At least get a solicitor to write a letter. Chances are the MS company will settle out of court to avoid embarrassment and exposure to the end-client, resulting in their own reputation possibly being called into question for engaging in duplicitous practices via a third party supplier.0 -

MS seems to be in a 'trough' at the moment. Loads of bank jobs - which I won't do due to the credit search issues and phone shops which I am so bored of that I cannnot be bothered. Joys of MS its either a famine or feast.0 -
i think people need to branch out on the companies they use then, as im seeing loads of work all over the country from companies every day so there is plenty of variety still to be had0

I'm mega busy too. But, there again I'm always updating my MSC client list, particularly when one of my 'oil wells runs dry' (MSC has run out of jobs I can do for now because I have been and done them all too recently to be allowed a revisit for a few months-year). It's the only way to stay afloat in this game.0 -

Can't agree with this I am extremely busy and seem to have load of work. I think that the area you live in may have some bearing on the jobs but otherwise it will be a good October.0
