I suppose both the nature of our work and the 'digital age' in which we live in we are expected to check our emails regularly. I probably check mine as a minimum once an hour during the day and it tends to be the first thing I do in the morning in case there is an early alert!

I often get confirmation of times emails at 2am but they are on the other side of the world so it is what it is. At least the confirmation of timings doesn't take long to send. I put down the times and sign off, no conversation needed!

we put up with it because you might get a decent premium on a burger or a 'big' chicken or (almost) free groceries...

If someone could confirm this message...that would be grand.

    :)

Can you please confirm the time you started writing this message, the time you finished, and the time it took to proof read before you posted it.

Additionally, I will be asking the same questions at 2am, tomorrow morning, failure to reply within 12 hours will result in you having to repost your message.

    Yours GAP ;)

I monitor my emails constantly seven days a week. I have never had a problem relying to a proof reader within the time scale.

I was offered a 'Gold' job as well. Twice the work for half the pay, I was not impressed. Without the premiums, those jobs are not worth the calories.

I'm the same, I must look at my phone at least every half an hour, just to make sure I haven't missed any e-mails, etc. I also check it first thing in the morning to check for the usual 2am GAP confirmation e-mail. Subsequently, I've never been late replying to a GAP request.

Have to admit, I'm been offered a 'Gold' job also, and said no. I'm happy to do their visits, but at a premium. I have had to up my gym visits though :o

I take both... I accept the petrol jobs and supermarkets anyway. So get a premium and these 'gold' jobs as a package. It's whatever works for you that makes your day worthwhile
Well, you can tell by the way I use my walk
I'm a woman's man: no time to talk
  • I use a Smartphone, emails get pushed to me and I have a purely MS account that has a different alert tone, jobs don't get missed, queries get answered, easy when you know how.
  • My cheque arrived from Frontline but its way under the total I expected and the invoice is for two nonsensical amounts. :wall:

And as for the middle of the night jobs..I don't think I'll be doing those somehow :)

I made a fortune on them last year, when they were all drive thru and Gap were willing to pay daft sums of money -- I work until 11.30 a couple of nights a week anyway so it was no trouble to pop past one on the way home for somewhere in the region of 10x the usual fee -- easiest MS money to be made.

But now, for a teeny premium, and sitting in? If they think a supermarket on top is enough to convince me of that, they want their bumps feeling.

Anyway, before they thought up this Gold shopper nonsense, what used to happen was a nice young man phoned me every Sunday, chatted about the weather and whether I'd had a nice weekend, then offered me a couple of jobs with a decent premium and, if there were any available, a supermarket or petrol station on top.

Now that the Gold shopper status exists... that's still what happens. :rotfl:

If Mr Gap Australia had phoned with his husky voice, I would have probably accepted any job he offered but that's a whole other story lol

Don't panic like I did when you see the date format, it non uk

That said I'm still chasing a missing cheque from April.... that they said had been posted yet has not appeared. I'm dealing with some one called Holly in Canada.

Never doing a job for them again!

    Frontline Focus.

Me neither - I got my cheque this morning and was paid less than I thought, when I emailed the guy who had asked me to do it and told me the fee I was told that he'd quoted it in Canadian Dollars by mistake as he was new to the job and just training. He got a tad 'funny' with me when I replied, asking if I would get the difference, and said that he could try and get it paid to me but he hoped I would accept his apology instead!

I will never, ever, work for them again.

I've been told the difference will be made up on the next pay run, email them back!

Hey, at least its not a Canadian Dollar cheque, that is what happened when they first started these jobs.

I dunno what is wrong with using Paypal, many other US/Canada based companies seem to work well with it.
