Amazing how one set of MSC such as Tern and Grass Roots are generally a joy to work for and others such as AA are less so. I could just about put up with the nonsense if the fees were decent but nonsense and pittance, no thanks.0

Never signed up with AA and, with what I've heard on here, rather happy that I didn't0 -
Yep, don't think you are missing much.
I have rarely done their assignments but from reading other people's experiences they seem to find reasons for not paying more often then other MSC.0 -
I didn't do today's shop very well...the weekly payment store...they basically said go elsewhere we're too expensive. Every time I tried to bring him back to the talking about the product in question he would say it's cheaper elsewhere, cheaper for you to get credit through a bank or use your credit card, don't do it, get a free one from a friend or from a charity shop....lol...now how am I going to write this up. I'd never shop here anyway...far too expensive. I should have dressed like a benefit claimant (however that is)...or got myself a baby and gone to the store with a pushchair. My work clothes probably gave away that I have a lot more spare money each week than I was letting on (should have worn tracksuit and trainers) or maybe pulling up outside in a 18 month old car gave it away. He eventually went through the list he was supposed to. Maybe when he mentioned the horrendous interest rate I shouldn't have laughed so loud and not said "it's how much!!!". Or maybe I shouldn't have mentioned I could get it for half the price on Amazon. I'll have to try harder for next time.:footie:
Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

I find the Grass Roots jobs get snapped up within minutes. I have received an email and logged on within 10 mins and its gone. Got one this week as was sitting at my pc when it came in and got another by phone. Need to be on starters orders...0 -
My shop went well. Assistant wanted me to make an appointment to come back in once I'd measured up. Your report is bound to have lots of queries. You can only say the truth good luck
My day didn't go too well got offered a nice premium for doing a bank job 50 miles away. That had to be done today I wasn't able to see an advisor and can't see one till 12th oct. I'm waiting for ESA to get back to me about what to do.:-(0 -
I did a weekly payment shop last week and I wouldn't do one again. Not because of the job itself, but the questionnaire - almost every question needed a comment to justify the tick box answer. I'm sure it wasn't that bad when RM still had the client. The fee wasn't worth it at all, it felt more like an MF job than a GfK one by the end.0

Being very nosy - what mileage rate did you quote? Reason for asking is that there are bank jobs which are around 25 miles away which lurk for weeks on the Esa profile and I dismiss them due to distance!0 -

I didn't quote a mileage rate. They phoned me and I mentioned it was a long way from where I live. So ESA said they'll phone me back and doubled the original fee.
What typically do people get if there offered mileage? Even with double the fee it's not too great for that distance. I'm lucky I've got a C1 cheap to run plus I managed to pick up 3 MF jobs enroute0 -
I did something unbelivelable yesterday - I actually tried to use a gaptimer for a shop. (For those lucky enough never to have been gifted one of these, it's a stopwatch, very cheaply manufactered to look like a 10 year old mobile phone).
I had managed to left the house without my primary mobile, and my secondary mobile's stopwatch doesn't do lap times.
But I remembered I had the gaptimer in my glove compartment. The thing is so hideous to click the buttons on I totally failed to actually collect the timings. *Sigh*.0
