I've done a few jobs for Gap I always submit my report the same day. All MS companies insist you complete the report the same day there are a few which allow 12 noon the next day.

You agree when you take on these jobs that you'll submit the report by an agreed time. If you don't some sites will automatically release the job and allow someone else the chance to do the job from what I understand.

I'm still new myself only being doing this a few weeks.

MF state you need to be contactable up to 14 days afterwards. That's why I don't do any for them around a week before going on holiday as the thought of having to deal with one of their banal queries whilst in holidays would be hard to bear. They query for the sake of it..

Hi i'm quite new to MS'ing and have done 2 jobs with Gap. Both shops i've done, i received a follow up email at 2am to be completed within 12 hours "or you won't get paid".

That gives me til 2pm and if i'm at working i don't have time to be doing admin on a morning with kids to sort out. Is this their way of getting out of paying if you don't reply in time? It seems very underhand to me.

Use a smartphone for email, saves messing around and you've always got email with you then.

Yes and no in that order.
  • Frontline focus are not answering my emails about payment for July's assignments. I knew they were infamous for not paying up but it baffles me how they stay in business.

I did a pizza job for them in mid July and just kept emailing the guy who asked me to do it - yesterday he emailed saying that cheques had been sent out last week, so keeping my fingers crossed. Hope you get yours soon.

At least he replied. I wonder where they're posting the cheques from.

In all the jobs I've done for them, MF have never EVER queried a job. They're my 2nd best MSC. Top is GFK. Only company I ever had a problem with was AA and I will not work for them again.

    !!!!!!

I admit I like the GAP shops, they're very easy and the premiums can be pretty awesome but why, on a chicken shop, when you have confirmed the timings on the report, do they ask for them again?

If ever a process needed leaning it's this. A complete waste of time and effort, confirming timings on a report, only to confirm them again. I wonder if I'll have to confirm my confirmed timings that I've already confirmed?

    Rant over.
