Well, every possible type of job has come out of the woodwork for me at the end of this week. I've booked an entire week's work for next week, don't recall it being this good since Aug/ Sept last year! Here's hoping it picks up from here because I was about to jack it all in for a real job.
Also picked up a RA pharmacy for double fee, as they were desperate this afternoon!
It has suddenly becoming particularly active for me too. Even my favourite MS co. with the buyback type work have woken up.0 -

I must admit that found last month a bit slack and it is now all coming out the wood work. I too wondered if the 'buyback company' had disappeared - thankfully not as picked up a nice round to keep me busy...0 -
I did a visit today to a shop that specialises in selling goods on credit. I found it pretty much impossible to get served. Lots of staff, no customers and it appeared I was totally invisible.
It may have been I was obviously not the demographic they were looking for. I gave up and aborted the visit. As a genuine customer I would have bailed even earlier. Anyway, lesson learned, I'm not doing one of them again!
I did one today. First thing she said was that she needed to credit check me before she could give me any info. Well sorry love, you're NOT credit checking me and putting a mark on my record!0 -
I haven't given up on them either - in fact I did an urgent job yesterday. I haven't been paid though. I got an email saying date would be confirmed next week. They must be rolling it out in stages.
No pay here from them and no email either. The guy I spoke to on Monday said they were putting in a new payment system and were having a few problems (no, really?) but how true that is I don't know as I think they'll say anything to try convince you to help with hard to fill/last minute/urgent assignments.0 -

Thanks emmylc that is interesting and I suppose it is a chance I am still prepared to take as although they may owe me a reasonable amount each month and I would be annoyed if I did not get it my actual outlay is quite small in relation to this as I mainly do the food and petrol visits. If they did hotel stays etc I would not be doing them however.
If/when the time comes when the payment does stop I will still be well ahead and to be honest I hope they carry on as I'd quite miss them.0 -
Well I've certainly not given up on GAP, expecting one of my biggest payments from them since Christmas............just no sign of it yet
Just checked again and it must of cleared after midday as it often does. Worrying signs though from what we see regarding late payments, credit ratings and reluctance to pay decent premiums. I've definitely noticed a difference unless there are just more shoppers in the area.Well, you can tell by the way I use my walk

Losing the chicken client was probably the beginning of the end. The drop in credit ratings is millions not just a small amount, it can be checked with credit reference agency as it states it there. I stopped working for them 2 months ago but Clients seeing their money being used how it is, I can well believe the petrol and ant n dec supermarket will say goodbye next month. Golden Arches are also rumoured to be unhappy with them. Time will tell i guess.0 -
Does anyone happen to know if this wave of green flower petrol visits as posted on the alerts thread require a fuel purchase this time? Not clear in the details but if shop only then I can go ahead as no car until Thursday. Thanks.0
