They've been chasing me to do assignments but wait until I've been paid for March first. Hardly done any work for them lately TBH

A quick tax question if I may. My only work is Msing and I am registered self employed. I did my first tax return last year 2013/2014 and didn't earn enough to pay tax. I only do this on a part time basis and do not expect to pay tax in the foreseeable future. I do however, pay my voluntary NI contributions (£10 - £13 per month) to ensure my pension contributions are paid up.

However, I have recently started doing some work for DQM and this is on a PAYE basis. I have just had to fill in a P46 for them. When they pay me will I have Basic rate tax deducted? and NI? If so any idea how easy it is to claim the tax back?

    Thanks for any advice!

Hi, can anyone help, I have accepted a high-up TV job for the first time and I can't get past the test, forgive the stupid question but should I email and let them know to help me get through it? At least one of the questions is misleading to me, perhaps I'm being a complete numpty, I don't know. I've searched this thread for clues, thank you to anyone who can help.

If it's GFK the questions rarely make sense. Just take a stab in the dark and be surprised.

That has happened to me many times before. When you go over the brief you know the answer you gave was right, but it still won't assign it to you.

Also can't believe the pizza visits get snapped up so quick. The total cost back would not cover much of the purchase requirements since you can't use coupons or vouchers.

Exactly the reason I won't take these visits. And when they call me up asking, I tell them!

You have to read the brief carefully, they can and do throw one in to try and catch shoppers out, I've never had one where the answers were wrong on the system.

The one I got wrong was-it said on the assignment, "you can take a friend with you as long as they don't distract you from your assignment"

Question on brief came up-I must do this alone-I answered no-as per their bloody brief and got told I was wrong...grrr.

It was a brekkie call on my way to work as well, was looking forward to a free brekkie.:D
