Having said a tentative 'yes' to ESA audits (as I have done in the past) I got some more details when they called. My questions apparently surprised the caller and she had to call head office for more details.

What I got told is these are budget (german) supermarket audits - where the booze is usually next to the tills. And the current thinking is that you'll scan each and every product in the section, using an app on your phone. Covertly. Every week. I said thanks but no thanks. Taking photos of crisps discretely was bad enough!

Blimey that's a lot of scanning to do. Even they must stock a couple of hundred different booze lines + specials. I got a message from Esa to say they would ring me at some point. Cant wait for that call to come through...

I too am sick of RA calling me and not leaving a message. If it starts with 01235 I just ignore it - last time I answered they had attitude when I said I still wouldn't do the job for an extra.....£2!!!!

Well today they rang me home number twice, my mobile three times and my works number once. They never leave a message - I see their number coming in and think no thanks..

I looked at one of their flowers jobs and its in a small covered market. There is no way you could take the snaps covertly and to the level of detail required. That job will sit on the books for a while.

Speaking of RA... has anyone successfully picked up one of the floral deliveries?... I can't see anywhere detailing how far you should be now from the florists... so no idea if I need to live nearby the florists (have applied and been refused for the delivery based on the old rules of within 2 miles, even though was well within the 2 miles)... or if you are to accept a florist in a different city or town for example to where they are to be delivered too... was just wondering as don't get these visits.... overall RA are very confusing... no rhyme or reason to many of their visits and the payments etc too! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I got offered 50p extra today. What planet are these people on?

    50 P! 50 P!

When I was a kid I had to get up at 5 AM, Audit the motorway, go to a quarry and eat 5lbs of gravel checking up upsells, then I had to work 20 hours speaking to Car Sales men before eating a greaseburger and then reporting them, before going to bed 2 hours after I will get up the next day.

50P You dont even know when you are having it so good!

I worry for ESA if there is nothing out there for them but those calls....

Well if you have the retail group that works to help each other, then its not surprising the work is drying up.

These covert price captures for ESA are a con, not only do they expect you to do it without permission, they send you back to the store for no pay take photographs of products they think should be something else.

Talking of ESA, they seem to have lost all of their clients apart from casinos and a few make ups every now and then. Does anyone know who their internet price check client has gone to? I used to get a nice income from that, but then they said it was on a two week break, and it never came back.
I spoke to my supervisor too, who has worked with ESA for 10 years, to find that she has basically been pushed out too, looks like this company is on a downfall.

Yes it's overwhelming, but what else can we do?
Get jobs in offices and wake up for the morning commute?

I had an awkward moment in a tile shop. Proceeded to purchase a sample and was told that they could give it to me for free as it was under £1. I went to say thank you but no thank you, I insist on paying...:) I must say, that was very kind of SA (I should say a Colleague). I have done these visits many times but never was offered a tile for free!

They can't get permission, the client isn't the target supermarket...
