Having said a tentative 'yes' to ESA audits (as I have done in the past) I got some more details when they called. My questions apparently surprised the caller and she had to call head office for more details.

What I got told is these are budget (german) supermarket audits - where the booze is usually next to the tills. And the current thinking is that you'll scan each and every product in the section, using an app on your phone. Covertly. Every week. I said thanks but no thanks. Taking photos of crisps discretely was bad enough!

I too am sick of RA calling me and not leaving a message. If it starts with 01235 I just ignore it - last time I answered they had attitude when I said I still wouldn't do the job for an extra.....£2!!!!

I'm not registered with ESA. I think I applied and never heard back.

That could work though. They tend to have small staff teams and if the tills aren't busy the staff move to stacking shelves. Getting your timing right would certainly help.

I disagree. The same customer coming in every single week and picking up and scanning a score of items? That's not a 10 min in-and-out job. And even MORE suspicious if you are trying to do it before they are legally allowed to sell the stuff (10am in scotland). And. knowing ESA they'll want you there as early as possible.
