I've just had an email from ESA saying i've been approved but on logging in there appears to be no new information in the inbox, just the same questionnaire as before.

It may be that it only went out to people in certain areas? I'm not sure, I'm afraid. Perhaps give them a ring on Monday :)

Thanks for your feedback, i think i'm going to cancel it. We were thinking of going there anyway but i'm just worried i won't be able to enjoy myself if there is so much to take note of. Also i think i would rather pay and try and find a bargain than run the risk of not getting paid etc.

Must admit I have looked at those and given them a wide berth for that reason. I looked back in this thread and found someone who had done one and found that lots of notes need to be taken which put me off. My daughter kicked off at the extra time it takes to do the react cinema job so I don't do those either as I felt I could not relax properly to watch the film as wondering whether I had missed anything vital for the report...

I got that ESA email as well but certainly can't commit to doing it every week in the timeframe wanted.

My thoughts as well. I have responded back to them in order to qualify in or out. They would need to be on the door step and the number of items to.be checked would need to be reasonable. No pay rate has been mentioned or what happens when you are away on holiday or ill. If you miss the time frame as cant connect to the network as 3g is not 100 per cent reliable - what would be consequences.
Lots of questions to be answered..
  • On 10th April I did a GR report for a fashion store.

Why has it taken almost a fortnight - I would not use Easter as an excuse as it's just two working days late to query my assessment?

They raised this for the 2nd query

You say that the staff member seemingly did not respond to your enquiry, but what did they actually do??

I put down 'they didn't say anything'. The assistant never looked at me or responded to me. I could not remember what exactly the assistant was doing at the time I approached her.

Why are GR not accepting ''didn't say anything' when it was the case?

I put 'when I approached the staff member about the enquiry, she did not look up or respond to me. Was looking at some paperwork.

You think that's bad. I've just had a query relating to 2 jobs I did in November. Not only that, but they emailed at 1pm on Friday and demanded a repsonse by close of play Friday evening as that was their deadline to repsond to the client. I was out all day Friday and my mobile is not receiving emails at the moment so have been unable to repsond. They didn't even try to ring me. Not that I can remember anyway. I mean, it was 5 months ago.

If you have already been paid I wouldn't even bother responding.

I do a lot for this particular company and earn around £1000 every month from them. So no choice but to respond. Wouldn't feel right to ignore them.

Is it ESA? I used to have old queries from them before I sacked them.

Disposal of items purchased under capital allowance scheme, anyone know this one? I have asked HMRC but after 5 weeks they are still getting back to me,

I have an item that was purchased and written down over three tax years, I now need to replace it, if I sell the old one what are the tax implications?
