I get what you are saying about cashflow, and understand that different people will have different ideas on what is reasonable, but you are a long way out with your timescales. We're talking payments for January, so from the beginning of the month until the 19th of March is more like 11 weeks than 6.
I'm not happy that I'm still waiting on payment, its currently 2 weeks late and counting. More annoying when they expect you to reply to queries on jobs within 12 hours when they send it at 2am! But ultimately, I do well by them and would like to continue to do so. So I bite my tongue when they ring. And either accept more work or turn it down if the price is not right.
I am not cutting off my nose to spite my face and my pocket..
Maybe I have this view as I do MS'ing as a sideline. But I think most of us by now know what to expect.
Peace and love
:-)Well, you can tell by the way I use my walk

while its nice when it happens, even a few weeks but this is a business to business transaction and at that is rarely instant / quick payments
most of my jobs are paid on the last working day of the following month, that can mean that for jobs at the start of the month its 2 months/ 8-9 weeks before payment.. coupled with other jobs paying at various times means a constant flow but if something is delayed annoying as it is, i deal with it as long as the company keeps me updated.
and people are closing accounts because they didnt get paid in 6 ? try looking at the bigger picture, or sort your accounts cashflow
Understandable, but not every couple of months with such huge clients (if they hold onto the chicken client), who email and demand replies in 12 hours and not forgetting I can't call because I will be sacked!!! Pffft0 -

and that is a week or so out of the norm that i have to wait but isnt unreasonable, annoying yes, not unreasonable.
The 6 weeks I mentioned was the previous page where someone stated they have closed their account and no longer doing work after waiting 6 weeks, it wasnt a calculation more a quotation0 -

That was me, I'm sick of them it's not just money it's the constant calls and when by chance I don't reply I get another 3 or 4 calls immediately after White. I have sacked them as this is the last straw but I see your point as I've been moaning for probably the last 6 months about them and tried to put up with it but other companies are just much better.0 -

I see that GAP have updated their website message re payments to now say that they will be "processed" between 13-18 March!
Personally I have not done any GAP jobs since the beginning of March and will not do so until this payment comes through....0 -

OK your choice - but don't moan when you don't have any money coming in in April.
I am confident that Gap will pay and I like the fact I have a nice reliable income from them. Don't work each month, gives a gap (sorry for the pun) in your income. Last time there was a problem with their payments the next one was on time - that felt like a bonus.0 -

They iritate me, they call me daily but never leave a voicemail. I'd be happy to call them back if they left a message offering a job.0 -
