Anyhoo - have any of you done the car buying jobs? Worth it or a pain in the bahooky?0
-
I did one and it was easy as the only thing I would say is if your considering selling to them they give u a quote based on the price ur car is valued at on the day u go online which is then valid 4 seven days but if u don't sell the price can change.
Read the brief!
I've done a few for different companies and the briefs vary a lot. Some are fairly simple, others a complete pain.
I tend to avoid the ones that require two visits, the ones where you go once are worth it. I did one recently for a well known prestige brand and the salesman let me sit in an £80k car wishing I had the money to buy one!

Different type of job. There's one on MFers at the moment where they offer to buy your car (any car) - the co with the irritating tv ads. That's what we're talking about.
I'll book the one nearest me. Thanks for the help, guys.0 -

I did one last month thought the fee was good for MF. Didn't take long to do the visit and complete the questionnaire.
The visit wasn't what I was expecting the ads give the impression your going to a nice office it was shocking the place I went to.0 -

I too have been to one with my brother but not on a visit and the place I went was also pretty shocking. I did not realise such run down establishments still existed to be honest although I imagine that some are more pleasant.0 -
I just tried to pick up an outdoor shop with MF. I read the brief very carefully, several times, but could not pass the accreditation. I know I wasn't inputting anything wrong. After several attempts, it just screened me out and now it's disappeared from my jobs list. Rather annoying, I'm no idiot and I genuinely don't know what I was putting wrong each time. Before anyone asks, yes I read the questions very carefully. That's the first time it's happened. Is it worth contacting the coordinator via another similar assignment?Minimalist

Yeah, contact them they are usually pretty helpful.0

No, I'd give them a call in the morning, they can (and do) take ages to answer. I've managed to get a few allocated when the tests have either been wrong or a question that had so many double negatives it was hard to make out the right answer.0
