I always found it funny that after staring at someone's face for nearly an hour on one of those jobs, I had no idea whatsoever what colour eyes he had or what his hair colour/style was. I had to go back and keep sneaking past the door to see if I could get another glimpse of him - he'd have thought he was being stalked if he'd seen me doing it!

The worst thing for me is estimating people's height, I have no idea - anyone got any tips on that?

Mrs Skive's been doing a bit of shopping lately and she has the same problem because she's a short !!!!, if it's a lengthy visit, she just slips height into the conversation and asks them how tall they are. :T

I find the hardest bit is gauging height on the girls because you never really know how much is heel.
Yes it's overwhelming, but what else can we do?

I have the same problem as Mrs Skive.

When you're five foot nothing, almost everyone is tall.
On the other hand, you usually have no problem seeing how much is heel ;)

I have the opposite problem and can only accurately judge people who are over 6ft, under that and I always seem to say they're 5'7!

Should you do that for the ones where there is a credit check?

Personally, I wouldn't. I have had 2 very awkward situations in the past. On one, I had given a fake name and address as per the brief. I had actually used my mum's address luckily. The brief was to go in and ask for a savings account leaflet, let them take my details and see if they followed up. So no credit check. While we were talking, the staff member looked me up on the electoral roll and found out I did not live at the address I said I had lived at for the last 3 years........ Very uncomfortable.

The second time I was told to give fake details but when the staff member said he would do a credit check I was to back out by saying I was going to shop around. Except he did not ask if I wanted to go ahead and automatically did a credit check. Obviously, he could not find me, so he knew the details were made up. He was very angry with me, saying I was wasting his time but as it was a phone call I hung up.

So I try not to do bank jobs now unless I am using my genuine details.

To be fair, I nearly !!!! a brick because there's no way in between their other projects, the day job and work for other agencies I'll have a chance to get them in for month end.

I've just emailed them, think there's been someone working today because I've had jobs proofread.
