Weird ain't it :-), still it keeps the old medicine cabinet stocked, I missed the main batch and I've just been picking up the odd re-shop or dropped call.As for car insurance, I had a quote for one of my toy cars a while back. Third Party = £1200, so I went the whole hog and got fully comp for £84 :undecided
Third party only is for those who can't get any other form of insurance mate, it is the company saying we don't really want your business.0 -
Because of my day job (that I don't even use my car for), I was expectting my insurance to be off the chain anyway, the £84 quote made me laugh though.Yes it's overwhelming, but what else can we do?
Get jobs in offices and wake up for the morning commute?0 -
I just want a quick rant, mostly to get it off my chest. i have worked for Gap... for a number of years and only do jobs where they pay extra. However God how I hate them, they are uncotactable by phone, you make a simple mistake and they refuse to pay, every negative comment is checked to a point where you wish you had lied and you lose the will to live. If you ever print out their incredibly repetetive reports it costs you more in ink than you earn. Every timing is checked, even when put in right - God help you if you go away as you may have done the report right but if you are not home to answer their stupid e-mail in 12 hours they do not pay you. Right rant over, feel better now, please shoot me inflames and say they are the best employer ever if you want.0

My worst experience thus far with them was when I had a phone call at around 1pm to do a 2 part job for them by 5pm. They offered to pay me very handsomely - 9x burger fees. Under normal circumstances you're expected to do the first part the day before, however as it was so urgent and 4 hours before closing this wasn't possible... you can guess what happened next. Not paid because I didn't follow the brief :mad:0 -

To be fair to them though, a simple mistake is likely to mean that the outlet in question can reject the report and so it has to be re-visited. They're re-checking the times either because they suspect they've been inputted wrongly, or because the outlet has queried them. I'd personally much rather they checked and double-checked than just accepted times automatically.
I've posted before I think, but a company I worked for used a different MS company (who I won't name) and the times we got back were complete nonsense.0 -

That would be AQ Worldwide, http://www.aqworldwide.com/index.norm.php
I did some jobs for them earlier this year and had all kinds of problems getting paid as I know many others have. Not that they rejected any of my reports, they simply took ages to process and carry out payment.0 -

I agree, however the last 2 times they have asked me to check the timings the following morning, far too quickly to have checked with the outlet. The e-mail seems to be auto generated. My problem is that their e-mail has given me just 12 hours to respond or they will not pay. If I had gone away for a break, worked in job with 12 hour shifts or simply been out the housee for a while I could have done a job correctly and then not been paid for it. I have worked in MS for 20 yrs and am probably remembering back to "the good old days" when I had an area manager, face to face training and a helpful number to call and check things with.:)0 -
Hello all
I don't really do much in the way of mystery shopping any more but my son is thinking of doing it to augment his meagre student allowance. Anyway I haven't been in here for years and found it funny that one of the first messages I read was about the infamous burger company - I see that they have not improved in my absence - still querying reports and not paying - nothing changes :-)0
