@trubster - sorry to hear about that, but if you're going to be spending more time here on MSE now, then there's plenty of cases that would benefit from learning from your experience and advice.

LBA and POPLA appeal sent to OP by email.

Details may (at the OP's choice) be posted once the case is dealt with to protect the OP's identity

Thanks to some amazing help from Trubster the POPLA appeal has been lodged. LBAs to be sent early next week. I will post the full text of everything once the appeal has been dealt with.

Typically, how long do they take to do the appeals? and do they have a deadline that they must adhere to?

    Thanks again everyone.

POPLA will give you a guide date for your decision, probably in December, but they can take longer.

also got email reply from POPLA saying my appeal will be considered on or soon after 18 Novermber 2013. Gives Meadowhall et al a month to get it cancelled before going to POPLA

Well done. Meadowhall should have learnt about this since last time.

On reflection, I don't know whether I want this to be quashed by Meadowhall, or for it to go to POPLA. At the moment all the blue badge cases listed in the POPLA DECISIONS thread seem to have failed. Maybe there has been no successes at POPLA because the strong ones have never got that far? If it doesn't get quashed, then at least we see how the appeal stands up at POPLA. But then again, it would be a relief for the problem to go away.
Maybe next time I can be a bit more confident and just go for the POPLA decision!!!

No, they have not 'all failed' at all! I take it you started at the beginning and read the old decisions?! Or Grunwald's decision where he didn't get help with his POPLA appeal and later got help to trounce Excel in court instead?!

    - Trubster succeeded at POPLA!

    - Every case I have advised on re Blue Badge cases has won at POPLA!

    - We win at POPLA 100% of the time when the OP follows our advice, our wording (like Trubster did).

Sorry, I must have misinterpreted the thread on POPLA decisions. I read down the 2nd post and only saw 3 that referred to blue badge - #54, #158, & #319 which all say 'refused'. I am aware that Trubster was successful as he has kindly worded my appeal and LBAs, for which I am extremely grateful. I had thought Grunwald failed at POPLA, but was ultimately successful, but I have read that many posts I get confused.

What I was getting at in my previous post was that it would be good to have a winning example in the POPLA decisions thread, as I presumed there wasn't one in there? But I appreciate that that doesnt mean you have not been successful with blue badge appeals at POPLA, just that one doesn't seem to be documented in that particular thread, which is where I first looked.
