Natty - I'm crying tears of joy for you - the little bu@@er - worrying you like that. Where do they go to, I want to know! I bet he's getting lots of cuddles and a big dinner!!
I'm so pleased for you, R x
PS A quick fly round done tonight, as friend coming for coffee tomorrow, so am all straight here and now weary after work. OH ringing soon, then bedtime calls.0 -
Update before bed here.
Hugs, spoons, appropriate vibes, congrats and yays as appropriate. I've lost track of who said what now as I've been multi-tasking
One thing that did stick out was the comments about kids and laptops....Ex runs the computer system in a secondary school and therefore when he bought DD a laptop he's locked it down big style so she can't access stuff. He has the admin account on it, I have some admin rights through my own account on it, then DD has hersI love M1crosoft Family protector thats being used! The other week she was meant to be doing homework but kept playing music instead and was driving me mad while I was trying to listen to my music in the kitchen quiet-ish so I wouldn't disturb her. A couple of clicks, no more utube access and mum gets to listen to bon jovi in peace
:rotfl: When she has homework I block the kids channel games as well.
She doesn't appear to be savvy enough to have found alternatives yet so I'm enjoying it while it lasts. To say I am hated and "the worlds worst mum who is so not cool at all" at times is an understatement

Loosing the extras this week. I might tackle them at the weekend while DD is out with ex. For now, just keeping up with the normal cleaning will be enough!
I'm going to do a quick HHtidy then go to bed. Going to leave my alarms set so I can get up in the morning and get on with stuff before DD is home around lunch time apparently. Although I am already ahead with work (as long as nothing leaks on the delivery again) I have lots of just hatched tadpoles I need to take care off.Hoping to munch a couple tomorrow morning.

The toothless old gits want access to my back garden tomorrow so they can set up their dodgy scaffold tower and reach over - ??? - to sand & paint NDN's window sills (he has a conservatory & there is no room in his garden). Fine by me - DS spoke to them and agreed all OK - except that when I actually looked, the area concerned is covered in brambles (from NDN's side) and home to 6 heavy bags of compost & chip bark.
To cut a very long story short - and to save the bad, bad words - I have had to pay DS £25 to promise to clear it by 8.30am tomorrow. It will take half an hour, one hour absolute max. Really p*ssed off as he spent 5 hours on Sat in his Dad's garden last weekend helping for free. Is it very wrong to curse your offspring on the anniversary of their birth
So no laundry out tomorrow due to sanding dust & dirt.... and windows to be closed to due dust, dirt & loud voices of elderly chuckle brothers saying 'eh?' every 5 mins cos they can't hear what the other one is saying.
My plan: shut windows, pull curtains, put on fan, take out hearing aids & get on with work, ignoring everyone until at least 5pm.*If you have nothing nice to say... say nothing*"Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that." Martin Luther King Jr0 -
I have admin rights on ALL the childrens computers, including DS2's and he is nearly 18.
They are not allowed on any video streaming sites, cannot play age restricted games/videos etc. the girls computers are under total lockdown and they have to have sites allowed depending on what they are for.. most are schoolwork ones and research for school projects.. wiki is blocked as an unreliable source so they have to look elsewhere
I have adblockers and spam filters and antivirus software which I update all of frequently and they can't do a thing without my password.
I am mean and oppressive but I know they are safe. I also get weekly updates on what sites they have accessed and their browsing histories.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

Really pleased Ollie's home Natts. Lovely day here today by the looks of it. I did a load of washing last night so that can go on the line in a mo. Kitchen day I see - I did that Sunday (including washing out the bin!) so I'll do my bedroom instead I think.
Have a lovely day ladies. Frodders - are you at the footie tonight? If so, wave as you go by! I just hope there's not too much trouble!I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Morning all
Sun is out to dry up all the rain so happy Dustykitten can start the washing again.
I did finally wash the kitchen floor last night and DH cleaned the kitchen sink and AGA top which he'd covered in paint.
Off to shower so I can get to and from town early. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Morning All
Well so far I've had a bath and cleaned the bathe and the BR windowsill so I've made a start! I haven't got dressed yet though but hey! No kids today so I can just get on and do some sorting although I would like to go out and have some me time but there's more pressing stuff to be done here and I'm on holiday for the next 2 weeks although obviously the kids will be with me all the time.
Natty - as I said on FB - brilliant news!
Have a good day all
Hugs
