  • Good morning!

Thanks Valli and Natty for their respective threads and please count me in for this week.

Come home vibes being sent for Ollie.

:jFinally got round to frog-feeding yesterday - in other words, my sitting room and paperwork. There's still quite a lot to do, but am so chuffed with what managed to get done!

Hope everyone has a good week.

    I've been Money Tipped!
I don't like having people over because the house always seems to be untidy ... I wouldn't say unclean just cluttered.

I can't be on here everyday at the moment as I don't have access to the computer everyday but I am hoping to follow most days and get the house in some kind of order.

I am really struggling at the moment to bring order back into our routines (my DD is 18 months) so I am hoping to have this sorted by the end of the year.

I currently have no routines and we just see how things go kind of thing - it isn't working! :o

    Good morning :D

I am in this week. thanks natty for the lists, and valli for last week. 'Come Home Ollie' vibes aplenty!

Pigpen - glad to hear Squeak had a good birthday. It was my very dear godmother's birthday too - she is only 101 years older than squeak!! Each year is a bonus now - she is getting very frail, but still has all her faculties :)

I am the only one up at the moment. Dog has been fed (but hasn't eaten it because DH isn't up ) How quickly he forgot when I was the one feeding him every day, and walking him :o And they say dogs are loyal - pah!

I have checked my emails & bank accounts - transferred money as needed. I am going to send a couple of ebay invoices (5 items sold - 3 payments already received), then make a cuppa & get showered/dressed. No kiddies today, so the order of the day will be bathroom & yet more paperwork. I may tackle a few frogs.

DD1 is distraught :( Her BF has been a bit off, and when she spoke to him last night he said he didn't know if he could do the whole distance relationship thing :( He has finished uni and she has another year & he lives in Notts. I have given her hugs, but there is not a lot else I can do. I have told her to give him some space (in the hope that he misses her!!), but we need to wait & see what happens.
  • Hi there. I'm back from my hols and (not) raring to go! It looks like last week's thread was run very strictly! Sorry Miss, for not sending in a note from my mum, Miss, and I'll try harder this week!!

On a serious note, Natty, I'm sending huge 'get home soon' vibes to Ollie. You must be in pieces. My cats have spent most of their time, this heat wave, lying deep in the hedge in the shade, and eating far less.

Perhaps he's in a 'new' sheltered spot and has decided to stay there for a while. My youngest cat disappeared for two days a couple of years ago, and we were everywhere looking for him, thought he had gone for good, and were so upset, then at midnight on the second night, when OH had gone out shouting for him again, he just strolled in - he did eat two dishes of food, so may have been shut in somewhere and had no access to food. I wonder if Ollie is in a shed that had been left open in the heat but now been shut with the rain? Come home right now, Ollie.

Welcome to any new folk and good wishes to all those feeling poorly or weary. On a flying note I've already washed and put away holiday clothes and cleaned the bathroom, half before, and half after my shower. On my own this week as OH is still away with relatives helping with some things that have come up.

    All good wishes, R x

Hugs for your DD Goodintentions - it's a horrible situation and it's hard for you because there is nothing you can do. Hope it is resolved quickly.

Have rung firm - who are ringing me back when they can get in touch with 'one of the lads'. But if the electrics are OK then I'll have to ring Candy..... this is not looking like a quick fix. Suffice to say that the lady who answered the phone was perplexed when I described what had happened!

    Off to do the ironing!

It's raining buckets here - much needed, but having the light on in August at 9.30am is kind of depressing!

    Morning all

I'm in - thanks for the lists ladies. It's totally piddling down here today. Got soaked taking 4 steps from the back door to the car earlier on.

Already made a start on the study yesterday by moving EVERYTHING for the first time in 2 years :o What a load of dust!!!!! Ate lots of paperwork frogs in the process so feeling less weighed down by it all.

Doing a Jamie Oliver 6 hr slow roast pork for dinner - it's already in the oven and smelling lovely. At the paid stuff tonight so need to be organised today. Thankfully OH will have to take DS to football practice in my absence

    Extras on my list:
    - walk the dog
    - buy and send cards for MIL and Niece who's 21

    I've got a voucher for £15 off a £60 spend with Mr S - think I'll stock up on heavy/Christmas food items.

Right, off to turn the oven down .........

    Hi all

Thanks for the this weeks lists Natty - when I moved into my house my dearly departed old boy (19 years young at the time) went missing. I rang round all the local vets and then started on the local cat charities. He was at one of them, one of my new neighbours thought he'd been abandoned (he'd only been outside 10 minutes!). Hopefully dear Ollie cat is on his way home to you.

Have a great week all - very envious of those on holiday next week, have a lovely time.
