I'm currently on EE and my 24m contract ends on 18th June. I'm allowed an upgrade on 5th May. I just saw this fantastic Sim only offer from EE for 12m with unlimited minutes and 16GB data from a third party website for £19.99/month with £96 cash back over 1 yr. I would like to go for this contract.
I would like to keep my existing number. When can I request EE to transfer my number to this contract at the earliest- When I'm eligible for upgrade or when my contract ends?? I don't mind spending for 2 months earlier than my contract ends since I need the internet at home anyway and can use this till my contract ends.0 -

I don't think you can, EE can't transfer a number from one EE contract to another EE contract as far as I know.
You'd have to port your number out to a different network then back to EE.Sigless0 -
Please can anybody anybody advise me, I'm not very phone savvy and am lost in the fog of so many tariffs.
I've come to the end of a 2 yr Vodafone contract, ditched the dreadful Windows phone and bought a Nexus 5 which I love. Now I want to find a sim only deal with lots of data but not too much text or talk time needed.
I've spent hours on comparison sites and the best I've found is £10 pm with 4gb data with id mobile, but the reviews are awful. Can anyone recommend a better alternative please?Oh dear, here we go again.0 -

4GB minimum?
No more than £10?
4g?
Vectone do everything 'unlimited' for £15, but I am not sure about FUP and 4g. CS is likely to deserve to be better too.0 -

30day/12month sims, Talkmobile are owned by Voda. Cheaper and much better customer care.

Are you sure about that? My latest contract with them was set up by CPW according to my credit files - even though I didn't buy it via them. They do use the Vodafone network, but that's not the same thing.0

A quick search for Talk Mobile owner would indicate it is owned by Vodafone.Talkmobile
Parent Vodafone
Website https://www.talkmobile.co.uk
Talkmobile is an online based mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) operating in the United Kingdom on the Vodafone network. As part of Vodafone, the business is based in Newbury, Berkshire.
Launched by Carphone Warehouse in October 2007 using the Vodafone network, Talkmobile was launched as a postpaid MVNO and was one of two MVNO run by Carphone Warehouse in 2007. The other was Fresh Mobile, a prepaid MVNO using the one2one/T-Mobile network. Fresh Mobile, was discontinued on 19th March 2010 in favour of Talkmobile.
Vodafone bought Talkmobile from Carphone Warehouse in 2015.====0 -
Well, my contract was taken out a couple of months ago and the account was definitely set up with CPW and not Vodafone. Perhaps CPW is paid to administer it, but it's all a bit strange.0

It looks like it happened sometime before October 2015 according to this story which is dated 2 October 2015.The running of Talkmobile’s customer service base had meanwhile been transferred from Carphone Warehouse to Vodafone, Talkmobile’s parent company.
It seems that, during the transition, Carphone Warehouse had thought that Vodafone was dealing with this but had still taken it upon itself to issue me with the statement quoted.====0
