You need ghds, bulldog clips, scrunchies & patience.do it in sections, gather "done" sections in loose ponytail with scrunchie. Work from the bottom up, piling "not done" hair on top of head.
It will only last until it gets wet or sweaty.
I can do mine in just under 20 mins now, it used to take double that when I wasnt practiced.

You definitely don't need to do all that if you have absolutely drop-dead gorgeous curls!

My sister made me spend hours when I was a child "brushing out her curls", but it never worked. She had the platinum bubble curls from old soap adverts.

It takes time to embrace curls lol

Seriously though, like many curly girls,it can be a tad 'depressing' When you fancy a new look but can't have one. With straight hair you can have all kinds of cuts and style and look completely different. We generally can't- it can go shorter or longer and have a few layers. So can get a bit boring.

I've had my hair straight, long, and no fringe for the last 20 years. So the ability to do different things doesn't mean you actually do them!

Straight? Curly? Maybe. Frizzy? Never! I have collar bone length, wavy hair, so it's neither fish nor fowl (or whatever the saying is), and it just goes frizzy if it rains ( think Crystal tips), or if it feels like it. I'd love it to be either curly or straight...

That's depressing. :( If they want to look like clones with "perfect" artficially straight hair that might just look like straw in a few years, up to them. It doesn't mean everyone should conform! Embrace your curls ladies! :p

I've been straightening my hair for about 15 years.

Before I discovered GHDs I used a small iron & a silky pad of material.

    Not like straw yet :-)

That's how my hair was when I was a baby, now it's fairly straight but gets abit of a kink when it gets wet.

I think straight haired girls always want the curls, and vice versa! I went through a phase of trying anything to get curls! :rotfl:

    He's really cute btw! :)
