Its just another way of making sure we women know someone will always be judging us for the way we look.
In my experience, it's mainly women who judge other women for how they look.
I do agree with the point you're making.0 -
I've always, always loved the "cute ditsy dress with biker boots" look. Unfortunately, I have also never had the body for it! So I mainly dress in short dresses over jeans, and *gasp* a cardy over the top.
I did wear purple dr martens all through my teens though. That was my super rebel phase... I couldn't care less what people wear. Although I have a particular dislike for the trashy "short skirt/overflowing cleavage" look.
And I hate, HATE "comedy" underwear on guys (Bart Simpson kind of stuff).0 -

I loved my purple waxy 7-hole docs ... I was gutted when my feet stayed fat after I had a baby, and I had to give them away to my slender-footed stepsister
I was only gasping about the cardi because it's so hot! Although perhaps my age has something to do with me thinking it's always boiling52% tight0 -
I'd still wear them if I could afford them Jellyhead! lol Although I got some black ones with buckles on them a while ago - never been able to wear them. So uncomfortable...I swear they changed them! It can't possibly be my feet...:o0

I've always hated it!
To me it shrieks of "I'm so beautiful, I can wear something this ugly and still look good!" (And then you get those who miss the point.;))0 -

Ah well, good thing we all like different things, it'd be pretty boring if we didn't!I think it looks great on the right kind of people. Women, mainly.

I genuinely think it looks pretty
I'm short though, and once I gained weight I didn't think it looked good on me anymore, not with chubby thighs. It's still pretty on other people, but I wouldn't subject anyone to my thighs, even in thick black tights.52% tight0
