Speaking of favourite posters elsewhere, does anyone start to feel, as the thread never quite ends what Scooby and Shaggy must feel like in their chase scenes running along that relatively short corridor that seems to nevertheless take forever as we run past door, hatstand, window and chair suspiciously many times.:DThere is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0

They have to be eaten fresh when they are at their most moist. But Marc de Champagne is not the same as champagne, so I can see why a champaigne lover would be disappointed.
Marc de Champagne is a side product of champagne production, a brandy made from the pomace.
I love F&M truffs. Champagne, not so keen.
Never new that!
But like brandy too.......
Still not won over to champagne truffles. Even from f and m. I'm actually very happy with hotel chocolate chocolate. Their low sugar pralines hit the perfect note for me and were my hormonal treat. I'm not a 'slab' of chocolate person at all. In the least. N'uhuh.
Waitrose sell those Spanish almonds caramelised then rolled in...what? Cannot remember ...some kind of gianduja maybe? Then dusted in cocoa. They are pretty good too.
That makes it sounds like nuts are obligatory for me to eat chocolate. I don't think that's true. I don't like chocolate randomly in things....like perfectly good cakes which aren't meant to have chocolate suddenly having chocolate bits. And need convincing on white chocolate.0 -

Oooh, is this turning into another "NP question" like mushrooms and Jewishness?
White chocolate: no
Milk chocolate: yes
Dark chocolate: only if sweet rather than bitter
Chocolate oranges: dark definitely preferredDo you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -
Years ago, we had swimming lessons at school - and we got taken in a bus to the town pool. There was a vending machine on the wall, with chocolate at 6d. I remember having sixpence given to me so I could buy a bar after I'd been swimming. I don't remember how many times I went swimming, but I do remember the machine... could even have been just 1-6x that we went.
I used to get dark chocolate, I can't remember the brand. It was amazing. Never had dark chocolate like it since.
That's 37p (RPI) - 68p (average earnings) value in today's money.0 -
White chocolate -on occasion. Bought some when it was half price in Lidl a couple of weeks ago. Prefer dark chocolate. I only tend to eat chocolate one day a month, the rest of the time I would rather have crisps or cheese or marmite on toast/ crumpet etc.0
