They've stopped again now. No signs of invasion. I think we're safe for now.

Debate here....
Champagne truffles are disappointing. They are made of ultimate ingrediants, yet are not grater than the sum of their parts, nor equal to them. I deed, all the light, bubbly fun is removed from the champagne.0 -

I don't think so. I have a vague impression that you are somewhere over what I think of as the Herts-London corner of the country.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -

Well, I don't like champagne. I also prefer chocolate to be non-alcoholic. But the last time I had a champagne truffle I liked it, which suggests it might well be disappointing to people who do like champagne.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? I like mint flavours . Ditto curried flavours. Recently tried some nepalese food involving curry on minty naan bread. Interesting but deeply underwhelming and I won't repeat it.;)
If you're thinking of trying it- maybe don't bother.I don't think so. I have a vague impression that you are somewhere over what I think of as the Herts-London corner of the country.
I strongly believe you are right. I now recall I live in the SW London Surrey borders between Chewey and Wheezy. In solidarity I may have to change my soubriquet to Zaggy.;)There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -
Champagne truffles are 'meh'. I remember being disappointed te first time and they were from F&M.
My best friend worked there for several years from when we were 16. I blame all my expensive tastes on her.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

I am a bit north and quite a lot west of there. Certainly too far away to be hearing the same fireworks as you.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Champagne truffles - F&M are my favourites and (I feel a posh alert coming on) there's normally a box in this house - are normally made from Marc de Champagne. They have to be eaten fresh when they are at their most moist. But Marc de Champagne is not the same as champagne, so I can see why a champaigne lover would be disappointed.
Marc de Champagne is a side product of champagne production, a brandy made from the pomace.
I love F&M truffs. Champagne, not so keen. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing?
