Someone on MSE once offered to send me one. I declined their kind offer.

You have got to tell us who.

I like Ezekiel, which can be shortened to Zeke. I also like that it is a Hebrew name, but one that has meaning and relevance in other religions. However as a non Jew, I don't really know whether that is a good thing. It's just a name that I like.

OH's religious name is NDB Ben Yitzak, and Isaac's is Yitzah Ben NDB, which is rather neatly symmetrical.

My dad and his father had that, because my dad was named after his grandfather.

It is not uncommon, particularly as names run in families as does the tradition of naming after someone.

I like Zachary - Zack for short. That works in hebrew and doesn't get enough airing because people have usually chosen before they get to Z in the names book.

Although it was OH's father's first name, it wasn't what he was called - he went through life known by his middle name (as my Dad does, too). So it was after him, but not the same name, if that makes sense.

I like Zachary and Zach, but too much like Isaac.

I've got one of those in my family... but we have a penchant for more unusual names. My grandfather's name was new testament but still really obscure. To the point that if I mentioned it here there would be so few people that a quick Google and you'd be able to work out his full name from it.

IMHO you also need a name that matches Isaac.

These names are matches to Isaac amongst my aquaintances.

    Isabel

I don't think you should have another intial I, or they will be opening each others post when they are older.
