I like Ezekiel, which can be shortened to Zeke. I also like that it is a Hebrew name, but one that has meaning and relevance in other religions. However as a non Jew, I don't really know whether that is a good thing. It's just a name that I like.Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? I like Zachary - Zack for short. My dad and his father had that, because my dad was named after his grandfather.
It is not uncommon, particularly as names run in families as does the tradition of naming after someone.
Although it was OH's father's first name, it wasn't what he was called - he went through life known by his middle name (as my Dad does, too). So it was after him, but not the same name, if that makes sense.
I like Zachary and Zach, but too much like Isaac....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

I've got one of those in my family... but we have a penchant for more unusual names. My grandfather's name was new testament but still really obscure.
