Similarly, anything that cannot be feasibly soaked/ rinsed in the sink could be done in either if those. I think. brushing teeth, strip washing, no shaving are vital to be done comfortably though. I don't shave, so not sure of special requirements for that. :T. From what I see of the state of the bathroom after wards it involves something like visiting sea world where the whales leap and splash about.
Its obviously a funny tap too, the water comes out of one side more than the other.
Doesn't everyone shave in the shower these days? I wouldn't know anyway as, being a hipster (c), I have a beard.0 -
We're now doing the "Oh god, what does he need to take with him" thing, the list seems so blooming long!
Sue, we nicked our ideas from this post on another part of the forum, kudos to Mankysteve and Mrjoet.
I'd hit freecycle first and then work my way up the stores MSE style starting with poundland.
Do any NPs have good tips for house insurance for DD's student acommodation (it's a private let shared with other students, none related to LL).There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -

Sadly not. Wish they did.0 -

i've always used endsleigh. but i'm sure they are hundreds nowadays. they were always <£50 for poor students (before the days of the ipad/iphone/ipod/kindle etc)0 -
Its empty - I think it was bought as a family home, but for the past few years it's been a student let. So it's as short a chain as it gets
Need to do a little checking over boundaries (e.g. have a copy of the deeds for the driveway, which goes with 'my' house but next door have right of way to get to their garage) and whether the repairs highlighted are going to be pricey or not.
Just waiting for the searches now I think...
I also want to make it known to the vendors that if they want to leave any of the studenty furniture they are welcome too (so long as they have high expectations about its monetary value).
I'm sure there is still plenty enough potential for problems to crop up though!
Don't offer any £ for the furniture. They may not want it anymore and it would actually cost them to have it moved out....so savings for them to leave it behind.Catch up time:
FC - I can't understand how you have head space for anything work related given how much else you have on - is your life always this full?
I know I only need one other thing happening in my life (or sometimes even fewer) for work concentration to be very difficult.
The misfit in question would definitely be my choice from appearance even without her super power. Were their powers a physical representation of their subconscious desires and fears?
.
Really? It doesn't feel that full.....used to be way fuller when kids were younger
OH is the same as you.....can only concentrate on one full on task at a time...it's A Man Thing I think.
He has now eased into his new P/T job as house renovator as DD and I are mopping up a lot of his admin stuff. He still does the awkward phone calls and people things though plus the logistics on any large orders.
Loving the house things LIR. That cupboard idea is a good one, going to swipe that for a future project
Today was spent painting a return wall in a F+B dusty lavender /grey to match (well, tone in with) the new MSE sofas in the front lounge....that ended up cost-wise not being so MSE after all.
We have 2 large cream leather sofas from JL from 13 odd years ago that have seen better days cover-wise but the frames are solid and cushions not sunk at all.
Quote to recover was 3k the pair.
So figured we would buy new ones or get a bargain from Ebay instead.
Fruitless searches on Ebay (concentrating on W1 postcode and Mayfair/Regents park) so we could get a 10k sofa for 50 quid didn't quite go to plan.
The same sofas are still in JL but are about 4.5 k a pair now in something samey like brown leather.
....so we went custom
Antique dark lavender/grey leather frames with the most lush chenille velvet in the same tone (but goes light and dark due to the sheen) for seats and back cushions.
Environmentally better but 3k felt hard to bear...but they will be totally unique. Got the contrast idea from a sofa company called Tetrad.0 -
Is your lavender grey farrow and ball called calluna? That's our bedroom colour
. Its really soothing. There is a darker one, cannot remember name. That's our sitting room skirting boards, lol.
I'm little greening in the bathroom for a change.0 -

Maybe it is time for FIR to grow a beard. All the cool kids are doing it after all, and it is very MSE as your razor blades last much longer. I have conducted scientific research and identified that beards might either increase or decrease your salary, or alternatively make it stay the same. The same applies for other factors like credit rating and social standing.0 -

We used it on the window wall (the window is huge) and a small return that juts out and then opposite around the new room dividing doors so more of a framed wall.
I'll get around to putting up some pics soon.
Dusted the new luxury shower room today ....as still too luxury to use so it gets dusty.
I think the new front room will fall into the same category what with the lush chenille sofa cushions so we may just end up still living in the garden FT so we don't ruin any of the house. I'll enter once a week to dust it.0 -

That's the first time I've heard Paxo referred to as a cool kid!0 -
FC - I was going to mention that I would be interested in anything they no longer want. Ie not essay I want for free, but not offer over the remainder of my wallet.
I had figured (hoped)) that they would leave a lot of the furniture. It's not great but would be a good stop gap.
