    Catch up time:
Sue - congrats on the exam results, I know you didn't sit them yourself but they definitely reflect on what you alone have achieved with your boys. Just a shame we won't ahave a NP connection just down the road in Herts as you would be very welcome to drop in if you were nearby.
NDG and Lydia - glad the extra lessons are going well, lets hope they produce the result sin terms of confidence to allow your respective DS's to reach their full potential and cross a threshold so they can make independent progress. NDG I never saw you as a surfer.
LIR - you know that thing you did as a kid with a torch shone through your fingers making your flesh glow pink - when it is really dark tonight ask FIR to see if you glow from the inside out....and lets hope this test points the way to making you feel better more of the time.
Nikki - Sounds like the house is going well, I vaguely remember from the mists of time what an exciting and satisfying time it was getting a first house. Every time I have bought it has taken ages but all gone through fine in the end. On my last sale the surveyor (buyer commissioned their own full survey on top of the mortgage company valuation one) pointed out a whole bunch of things which the buyers treid to get a reduction on but I said I would only consider the ones that weren't totally obvious to anyone viewing as they were offering on the house as it was not for a perfect house so I think you have the right attitude.
FC - I can't understand how you have head space for anything work related given how much else you have on - is your life always this full? I know I only need one other thing happening in my life (or sometimes even fewer) for work concentration to be very difficult. The misfit in question would definitely be my choice from appearance even without her super power. Were their powers a physical representation of their subconscious desires and fears?

Everyone else - Sorry, nowt that I can remember for now but I am sure I have missed some bits out.

My PN box has some space now.
    I think....

    What michaels said.
Just been out and met a bunch of posters on another online forum, all meeting in a pub. Much better organised than ours-- oops just remembered that was me that organised that one.

NDG I take my non-existent hat off to you. It takes quite a bit of chutzpah to walk up to a table of strangers and suggest you're meant to be joining them, as i've just found out.

Barristers develop a sort of skill I think...honed from meeting clients in hallways of courts where other people are and any number of people could be their client. Its a sort of filter, then approach with confidence then shrug and apologise.....(those who clerk get it but to less of a degree) tbh all nervous caters should do it for a while :)

If you go into a court surprisingly few tannoy messages are put out considering.....

Sounds like chimney needs pointing.... everybody gets that, then we buy the house and never have the chimney repointed.... :)

James had been on a bit of a downer with his allocated halls (his last choice was allocated) but after connecting with someone in the same 'flat' as him on Facebook and me finding some hysterically funny YouTube videos of the same halls, he is now looking forward to it.

We're now doing the "Oh god, what does he need to take with him" thing, the list seems so blooming long!
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

He'll soon forget what his first choice had been, don't worry.

I'm sure he will make plenty of friends in his hall and on his course :)

P.s. they give out the names of people who will be in the same flat?

I remember moving into halls for the first time, and my mum said she recognised the parents of someone whose room was just down the corridor - I told her she couldn't possibly know them, we were miles away.
Turns out they were from a nearby town, and yes, they did recognise each other!

Yup, a bit of repointing, but some of the bricks are a bit damaged too. Nothing that makes the chimneys unsafe, but probably something I'd get sorted (I'm saying that knowing there is a fair chance I won't get round to it).

No they don't give out the names but the students have been proactive and started a Facebook page where they have been discussing who has rooms in which halls (the actual rooms have been discussed via private messaging though)

well done SS's James for getting the grades.
Don't worry about the amount of stuff. You won't need 4x kettles, 4x toasters etc so if they have found each other on the internet, they might want to divvy up small kitchen appliances before they go.

Not motivated to finish this thesis. Not much work left but I really don't like it.
