Went to try to buy sunscreen today in boots. £17! Whatever. I'm sure last time the same one cost £9 in the airport and was also 2 for 1.

Is there anywhere I can get it cheap this time if year? The supermarkets are usually helpful but they don't seem to stock it at this time of year. Is there some kind of worldwide shortage or something?

    London prices innit?

    Superdrug?
It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.

It's been going on so long that I tuned out of much of the detail of late, but it was to do with the owner's perceived attitude to those who stood in the way of her speculative commercial purchase. The property is in the most sensitive part of the city, environmentally (right next to the walls / Minster / Deans' House etc), and it was her insistence at riding roughshod over the impact on local residents which made her unpopular locally. I wasn't aware of the specific parking issue, it was more to do with the incompatible impact of multiple parties in a beautiful outdoor setting near lots of residents.

She took a commercial business risk in buying the property, she's got her way, but made no friends in the process.

We watched it last night and I found it such a hard story to watch.
The youngest child was so endearing and it was clever how the cameraman/filmmaker 'used' him in telling their story.

I can't imagine being able to do anything if I had 7 kids to run around after and she seemed to cope well.

We own each own a strip of our neighbours grass in the front, around 2'. There are 4 of us but it affects only 3.

One neighbour took his back and paved over it for his drive, the other 1 didn't and we are now in the moral dilemma of wondering whether to broach the subject with next door as they don't seem to know about it and aren't too happy as we have since destroyed said strip by tramping mud etc down it....except technically, it's our 2' strip.

I did try Superdrug at the weekend - it was just as expensive. I haven't got time to buy on line either. Rubbish!

Ooops - was going to say we got some factor 50 cheap on Amazon a couple of weeks ago - can't you get same day delivery in London from Amazon these days?

Or have I got it wrong - is the purpose of the question to subtley rub into our faces that you are off somewhere hot enough to need sun cream whilst the rest of us our alternating between umbrellas and ice scrapers?
    I think....

I am so bad at motivating myself when I'm alone. I haven't had an adult conversation since last Thursday.

I have two quotes to produce, three blog posts that I've actually considered, a new web page to market something that I've noticed nobody else is locally and an entire house to blitz.

I've managed to eat three sausage rolls, a star bar, consume a can of coke and wash my hair. :o. I might avoid work by going out and buying a new pink toolkit as the boys finally half inched it from me.

Today, between school drop off and school pick up, I have been round to a friend's house for a chat, tried but failed to buy some boots, gone into work and emailed off my equipment order for tomorrow and Friday (should have been done yesterday) and been round to another friend's house for a chat. This is a lot more than I did on Monday, when I managed two phone calls to my solicitor and some sleep.
    Frost here though.

I hate this sort of thing.I really wish we could be a great big happy family. I'd love that. In laws all getting on, even if a not tight lipped.

    Frost here too.

Pub meal out last night with in-laws (the anniversary is tomorrow), just me, my kids, fil and mil. Everyone got on OK, but DD got very fidgetty near the end and started making it much too obvious that she was bored, and DS didn't like any of the food. :o
Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.
    :)

Sleep is good for you Lydia. If you need it take it. :).

Did the kids feel the benefit of the meal? What other times of year do they see those grandparents

    Congrats

Hmm - I would sell my 'project' if the right offer came along - perhaps I should stealth market it on rightmove through one of these cheap online agencies and see if I get any nibbles or is it only worth doing if done properly?
    I think....
