Congrats
Hmm - I would sell my 'project' if the right offer came along - perhaps I should stealth market it on rightmove through one of these cheap online agencies and see if I get any nibbles or is it only worth doing if done properly?
Why not? What will your new, high maintenance tenant say?
I wonder exactly how stealthily and cheaply you can market. What about carving off your potential bit of the garden and selling the house as is and seeing if you can get the same price. Or you'd have to demolish the extension?Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Chewy, can oh have deliveries at her office?
I am afraid we use dh's office as a sort of PO box
Amazon will accept different delivery addresses so it could definitely be sent to someone's office.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Buy it when you're there? If it's warm enough for sun tan lotion they'll probably sell it at a reasonable price........ unless it's mid Sahara, of course0 -

The ones I was looking at on Amazon were Nivea. 200ml, and a fairly flat bottle (if that makes any sense at all?). It comes in a sort of cardboard envelope.
We don't have an enormous letterbox and that sort of thing goes through. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

Dead risky, that, I reckon.
In India, the only places you can buy suncream are a few very upmarket shops in the biggest of cities, and they charge a lot more than in the UK....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

Omg, its one thing to get them to measure their santan lotion bottles and other packages, but I think respected letter boxes should be left out of this. We're hardly going to suggest they get different letter boxes just to accommodate their lotion.:eek:0 -

Did the kids feel the benefit of the meal? What other times of year do they see those grandparents
They come to this part of the country twice a year (his birthday - May - and the anniversary - November) and take us out for a pub meal each time. We go there for two days and one night some time around Christmas, usually some time in the summer holidays, and often Easter as well.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -
Whoah! Trying to catch up!
First day I used de-icer today. I should check by looking out the window before I set off so I could leave enough time for the spraying and scraping.
Got to go out later but not looking forward to it. We only got the central heating working about a week ago and now the house is too comfy to leave at night.
Envious of lj's Public Service Broadcasting concert. I know someone who went to a concert in Brum the other day, a band called Mott the Hoople and guessing not many here will remember them.:)There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0
