Went to try to buy sunscreen today in boots. £17! Whatever. I'm sure last time the same one cost £9 in the airport and was also 2 for 1.

Is there anywhere I can get it cheap this time if year? The supermarkets are usually helpful but they don't seem to stock it at this time of year. Is there some kind of worldwide shortage or something?

The Spirit family have cornered the market. A variety of 'factors' are stock piled in grubby containers in a drawer in the bathroom. The said containers are camouflaged with sticky residue and festooned with hair and unidentifiable grot.

Would you like me to send you some?

You would have to decant it into sandwich bags then small Jiffy bags, flat, so it fits through his letter box where he would have to decant it in to a washed out catsup bottle or something.

All in all I think he should just have his girlfriend lie on top him and protect him from the sun. Or vice versa.

And this afternoon, I walked her to a different station, then walked home again. :)

This sounds like a music hall joke. Are you trying to tell her it's over?

You must have a very small letterbox if it's too small for a bottle of sunscreen.

Hmm. Perhaps it will. I was going to order 3 or 4 lots (OH will need factor 10,000 and I will need 30 and a 15) I just assumed that they will stick it all in a big box and demand a signature then I'll be screwed and have to spend my weekend trying to retrieve it from the miserable post office with its 4 mile long queue as that's normally what happens when I order anything online.

Just been watching a TV prog about catching fraudsters. Unclear about the economics of it.

    Blue badge fraud.

Substantial effort for what seem like small sums. I'm clearly not seeing the big picture. Some bloke runs a pub on the coast while claiming benefits in London. He also has a house in southern Spain and ran a bar there.

Struck me if he'd put half as much effort into running one legit business as he did running multipe lives and scams he'd be comfortably off.

Rich looking woman uses a blue badge to save a £5 parking charge so she can shop, in Harrods, of all places.

You could get a free Prime trial for free delivery, order all the bottles separately and see which ones fit through the letterbox.

Frost here this morning...made my car CD player go silly.

Also a very busy morning which included a meeting with the head of 6th form for middle son as it appears his support has completely disappeared...seems people magically get better when they reach 6th form and no longer need the help their statement has provided for the last 10 years.

Watched DIY SOS big build tonight, spent most of it in tears, I can so relate to those parents, they had the same feelings and experiences as I had with the boys when they were younger and having the local special needs playgroup quite literally saved my life.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.
