It does look rather good. And no mention of needing to dress in a walrus costume

They're not all they're cracked up to be. We fitted one.

    .

The main draw back is you have to be wearing it.

When my mum fell in her bathroom, the alarm was haging safely off a handle of a kitchen cupboard.:(

She was not found until the following afternoon by which time the fall had proven fatal.
Her previous flat had been a retirement apartment with a cord in every room that reached the floor. Mum would tie them up out of the way.

What a sad story Spirit - You are so correct when you say...The main draw back is you have to be wearing it.

It is so hard trying to convince our loved ones of the life saving importance that this equipment gives them.

Thinking of NDG. Has anyone heard from her?
Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

If it is any consolation, however minor, my aged aunt had one that she only wore when she went out of the house. She couldn't accept that it was useless to do that. Likewise, my MIL has hers hanging up out of reach and simply refuses to wear it.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

Just recognised that I lived for a couple of years just down the road from one of the houses we've seen here today. ;)

    Feel like a time traveller.
