So many flats..... then more issues/problems with them.0 -

The flats in Felixstowe are stunning!Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

That's got HUGE rooms! Anywhere else that'd be split into twoRight on the sea front... http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-38763047.html
Shame no floorplan to pick apart.0 -
I really want 2 bedrooms as that's where you put your "stuff". Hobbies, things you rarely need/use. Stuff.
I hate the high service charges of flats. If you buy a house it's yours.... if you get a flat there are charges based on stuff other people decide needs doing, or they want. Get some posh people move in and before you know it there's a huge bill for gentrification.0 -

Um... why is visitor parking important to you? How many visitors do you expect to have? Or are you worried that if there isn't any then other people's visitors will park in your space?Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

Visitors aren't necessarily friends. It can be people giving you a hand, workmen, deliveries, people popping round to rake a look at something, give a quote, or advice.Um... why is visitor parking important to you? All manner of people are visitors. And, should there ever be friends/real visitors, people picking you up/dropping you off, it can be a nuisance if they have to fight for a parking space and pay, in a car park 1/4 of a mile away.
And, yes, thieving toerags nicking one's allocated space.0 -
If you had been a little older, although I don't know the length of the lease left...

The grounds for Harvest House are absolutely gorgeous, the building is gorgeous and I would love to live there. We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

I rest my case.
The IOW ferry is not a barrier to you. It is not limiting anything you do. In extremis or for planned visits, the savings on property prices would pay for your ferry ticket.
On moving in you could have a one off vist to IKEA, you can walk to the ferry terminal form IKEA, it would be closer and quicker than where you live now.
It is a safe, affordable, seaside location. GDB has given you the economic risk model.
Its Margate or IOW. IOW is more westerly and Ferry costs offsets the time/petrol to Margate for olds visits.
The drawback of the IOW is that I have said I will visit..is that the problem?
Me too, I'll come
