If you're posh/wealthy - I believe there's a vacuum cleaner that's safe to vacuum out fires etc. And, if in doubt and still distrustful, you can always keep it outside too....although it will require work in keeping it clean etc..
Random example, £90: http://www.mysmartbuy.com/p-904-CENE-HOT-Domestic-Hot-AND-Cold-Ash-Vacuum.html0 -
Being a bit miffed by the small bedroom sizes 'developers' have squeezed out of space, e.g. 2nd bedrooms are often 5'4"x7'4" ... I just googled my parents' old house details. 3-bed 1926 semi, nothing special - smallest bedroom in that was 12'8" x 7'1"
I am struggling to find flats/houses with those dimensions in the "master" bedroom"!
One currently on my screen has a master of 12'2" x 8'5"
I thnk they missed a trick - 2nd bedroom's 10'x10' .... but if they moved a wall 3' into the living room they could have turned it into a 3 bedroom.0 -
Biro or pencil?
Good thinking! I'll try and remember to leave an old biro next to the boiler.
I'm not very used to being ladylike and having longer fingernails! Or to being so domesticated. This afternoon I finally cleared the brambles that someone had helpfully chopped up and not so helpfully left in a pile in the middle of what used to be a patio before it became some slabs inbetween a load of weeds. After I realised I'd drawn blood, I figured I might as well carry on. Added to my shopping list: gardening gloves

Wowzers. I don't think there is any way that Ben Cohen is getting voted out of Strictly tonight...0

It's pretty windy here too. Loads of fireworks too though :eek:0 -

High winds here too, DD has said our oak tree has a branch hanging off. This has happened today.
Two of our chicks have not come home tonight, I hope they are roosting in a hedge out of harms way.0 -

If it's just you, and the second room is mainly for crafts, might it make more sense to have the smaller room (not a tiny one) as a room for you and the bigger one as the ' creative space' with room? It could have a wardrobe in the corner for clothes so it could double as a dressing room.0 -

Good thinking Batman. Esp seeing as you're used to living in one room, Pastures, it would still seem like a bonus having a specific 'bedroom'? Apologies if not - just thinking of how things feel to me, having been used to having just one room assigned to me/ sharing a studio flat etc.0 -
Is this any help? But what we need are websites that tell you where the nearest passport photo booths are or which pillar box has the last collection time. Just thought for a moment and realised that the internet will probably make these obsolete eventually.
