Good thinking Batman. Esp seeing as you're used to living in one room, Pastures, it would still seem like a bonus having a specific 'bedroom'? Apologies if not - just thinking of how things feel to me, having been used to having just one room assigned to me/ sharing a studio flat etc.

Its not that radical! I've always thought it sensible. At uni I chose the smallest room in flat shares, because it meant my room was my private space:D

Until now I've either lived in Uni halls or houseshares where I've not got to choose the room.

Talking to a friend from undergrad who I've reconnected with in the past year, I mentioned that I'm quite anti-social/ socially awkward. She reminded me that everyone used to come to my room for a chat/ cup of coffee (all our rooms were the same size). Probably just means I was the easiest person to distract :D

If you're posh/wealthy - I believe there's a vacuum cleaner that's safe to vacuum out fires etc. And, if in doubt and still distrustful, you can always keep it outside too.

    Random example, £90: http://www.mysmartbuy.com/p-904-CENE-HOT-Domestic-Hot-AND-Cold-Ash-Vacuum.html

Big hugs PN what a super idea a fantastic Christmas present. :):)

Lots of fireworks tonight despite the weather not being kind to the Guy Fawkers, that sounds very bad indeed 'Bertie' tut tut was not meant that way but I remind myself that last year we had our darling German Shepherd Tasha and she just hated bangs as do most animals. We miss her so much. Tears...

DD spotted chicks roosting in a tree so Mr S has stood on a chair and caught one, the noise it made upset the other one so much it fell off its perch.

    Both safely locked away now.

That's brilliant! There used to be a site that tried to give the information but it didn't have a map but it was incomplete and looked like the site owner had given up on it.

I'm glad I took my dog for his evening constitutional before it got dark. He's indoors with us in the living room and he's been going bananas when the firework displays started. He's lying on the floor now looking exhausted. Just hope he hasn't fainted! :D
