I was on a farm in South India, where the farm owner had to give his farm hands a dose of lime juice every morning, as they had scurvy. This was in an agricultural region, where the workers ate loads of fruit and veg. The reason was the custom of slow cooking the food. They were destroying the vitamins by cooking the food for so long. Just a word of warning.

No slow cooking here. :D Eat a varied diet but just annoyed at lack of energy.

I get bored eating the same things over and over again. I like having change. Which is why I probably appear to have more energy for doing things. I just don't like doing the same things over and over again :o

They seem to know quite a bit about nutrition. I was taught that the only four groups of animals that needed vitamin C were primates, guinea-pigs, the fruit-eating bat of India and the red bul-bul bird of India.

Vitanin C's meant to be unstable to high temperatures, light and oxygen, but stable in acids. Flash-frying isn't too bad.

I'm on a tablet or my phone fairly often. When in type it auto corrects to a wonderful extent but it shows the letters in type and possible words above the keyboard as i type and the correction it will choose is in the middle with other options including what I have actually typed to each side. If I want to choose a non dictionary word I simply click on what I have typed rather than typing a space, click the new word again and it adds it to the dictionary. The point of this essay is that viva maybe you just need to use a different keyboard app?
    I think....

We used to use this until friends with similar windows had them jammy-ed by some burglar.

This is what worries me about leaving windows ajar, even if the lock is locked, it gives leverage space.

I used to work away from home, from 7am Monday to 6pm Friday - I used to have lights coming on/going off and a radio coming on/going off.

We certainly didn't regard any window which required someone to get through a metal door, climb over 4 ft railings and then edge along a window ledge 15 feet above concrete slabs as accessible. So I'll check the insurance and see.
Maybe they came across the roof?

As I see it - the objective is to make somebody else's house "easier" than yours. That deters the lazy b.....r. In the main people aren't sitting with your name on a piece of paper targetting you - they're out and wandering round looking for "the easiest".

You don't have to be fort knox, just more impenetrable than neighbours.

I'm just using a Kindle Fire, I have no idea what apps it has. I just know that when I go to the apps store, a lot of the time it doesn't have the app I want. It does highlight some words, but I think the takeaway point is that I need a new pair of glasses first (at this point I would normally insert an embarrassed icon).

Or look like your neighbours will have richer pickings than you.

I wonder if insurers define inaccessible as no-one can get access, so if someone managed it then by definition it must have been accessible.

It's usually a rip that takes you out to sea.... not waves.

Do you/your kids know what to do if you get caught by a rip?
