Is this post working? Just had one to say I was being blocked. Don't know why. Have emailed webmaster.

Viva you have not been banned it would appear :-)

Phew, let's hope not. My post that was problematic was purely to say to missk I hope she feels better soon and to take the multivitamins and consider going to the docs to get a blood test! Maybe that constitutes medical advice? I don't know...

I was gutted, thinking that my last ever post would be in the Arms and about why people shouldn't judge people based on appearance when they work in retail because they will lose sales and never know why (the Oprah story).
Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

I'm thinking your expectations are too high. I would expect it to be several months until you get back to where you were and that would have been without the extra stress you have been going through of late. To mere mortals like me you are a major overacheiver and should probably be careful you avoid the emotional problems some perfectionists suffer when they are merely superhuman rather than perfect.

Thanks :) I am definitely not superhuman and nowhere near perfect. I also don't have 3 small persons to look after so have less stress than you! :rotfl:

Thanks, :) it's not medical advise. Telling someone to see a doctor is just normal. My GP (the nice one) is difficult to get appointments though and they did get my thyroid before and it was normal. Not sure what else it can be. Fatigue is a symptom of what I was diagnosed with but I've never had it before so I don't want it to start now :rotfl:

Be ok. I just don't like sleeping 9-10 hours and still feel like I need more sleep.

As you may be able to tell I am on the tablet this morning. This annoyingly only recognises Windows as a trade name requiring capitalisation, not a ubiquitous glazed item. As for trade people in the shorter form, that gets auto corrected to readies, or trade lies. Bloody frustrating.

I used to have a dumb phone that decided riot rather than pint is what I meant. I regularly asked mates if they fancied a riot on a Friday evening.

There's an urban myth about a bloke SMSing his wife "I'm leaving you" rather than "I'm leaving now" and when he gets out of the tube finds she's quit the house/done herself in/something else.

I'm getting a little bit worried about my lack of energy now. It's been 8 weeks and I definitely should have recovered but I stil get tired easily and don't always have enough energy. Sometimes find it hard to concentrate.

Not sure i want to go down the multivitamin route but not sure of what else to do as it will only get worse when it's winter. :(

IMHO better to eat more veggies than take multi-vits. Stews and soups in a slow cooker can be made with little prep time, taste great and so will raise your spirits as well as your health.

Well we had a nice weekend, if rather hard work.

Mrs Generali is doing the tax part of her CA exams so I've had to step up (again) to look after kids, cook, clean and provide moral support.

Yesterday was off to the beach; just me and the Generalissimos. It was a perfect late winter day: 20C, no clouds, big enough surf to have some fun in the waves without being swept out to sea. I put pea and ham soup in the slow cooker the night before to give Mrs Generali something to eat while we were out and cooked beef stew while we were out to warm up some very cold Generalissimos when we got home.

    This is where we went:

Today was taking The Boy out for a 10km bicycle ride which was fun (having hung the washing and made a Thai curry for Mrs Generali's lunch first of course). Now the chicken is resting for the roast chicken dinner we're about to all chow down on.

I'm another huge fan of MissK's. I wish I had half her energy.

As I routinely take a multivitamin every day, I really can't think why anyone would waver. It reduces the likelihood of being short of anything, and any excess gets excreted. Since it's not practical for most people to measure whether they are short of anything, the practical course is to keep topping up, even if that's unnecessary.

So, the only downside is the cost, which is only 2p a day. Boots will sell you 6 months supply for £5.75, plus it's on a 3 for 2 offer, so 18 months for £11.50. Michaels will be proud of me, and he'll be along in a moment to tell you about Advantage Points, coupons, etc.

It's not just me then. For a moment, I also wondered whether the reason my last post didn't go through is because my "sorry that you are crook missk" had been autocorrected to "sorry that you are a crook missk". Then I remembered I wasn't using a tablet at that point. I am now getting paranoid about what I'm sending though.

I remember a story from many years ago when Michael Aspel was on Capital, about a man who had split up from his wife many months before and he'd spent an age trying to win her back. He wanted to play a song to celebrate her returning. Without thinking, the DJ just played the next song on the turntable. Unfortunately it was "The B!tch is Back"... (daren't do a scary blue head but definitely warrants it).

Glad you had a good time at the beach Gen. Looks gorgeous!

Sounds like we are going to need some more forum downtime soon then. Thanks zag.

I was on a farm in South India, where the farm owner had to give his farm hands a dose of lime juice every morning, as they had scurvy. This was in an agricultural region, where the workers ate loads of fruit and veg. The reason was the custom of slow cooking the food. They were destroying the vitamins by cooking the food for so long. Just a word of warning.
