I did a career driver thing once, where they decided what motivated you to work, money, status, social care. Mine was independence. However, I can work in a team, as long as they do what they are told.
I have mild dyscalculia, anything with number is torture. Stick some letters in and call it algebra and I'm part way on side, anything with a decimal point and I have to count the zeros and do some serious thinking. Excel is a mystery as well and long may it remain so!
I loved algebra....I never got why letters threw people. I made class mates groan when trying to help when I said forget its 'x' imagine its a banana, or a cake or a hovery grey bit. Apparently this made it more confusing, the idea x could be anything til you knew what it was.0 -

Its the best way to make a bathroom look bigger IMO.0 -

The risk of something going wrong with my bath taps v having a much better bathroom? Worth it IMO.0 -
PasturesNew wrote: »Re bathrooms and plumbing.... in some bathrooms you see a bath that has its edge at three walls. Only one side open to the room. Look carefully and see which of these baths have middle-mounted taps on the far side, in the middle of the bath .... you'd have to take the WHOLE bath out to be able to change the taps or access the fittings under the tap. There's no way to reach, reach round, or get tools to that spot.
All our bath taps/showers etc are tiled into the walls. One of then the thermostatic valve has failed already, it is going to be a pig to fixI think....0 -
WE display monthly expenditure data broken down by category in a pie chart as a quick way for users to see proportions. Occasionally for accounting reasons for some categories in some months expenditure may be negative. What is the best grapihical way to display the data?

Team of three in the bathroom today, doozer doing filling and other bits and bobs, plumber fitting rads, shower and sanitary ware (to nothing...its not connected to the rest of the house.....I can hardly wait for that loo to work, the floor in front of our upstairs loo is about to cave in, going to the loo is risking life and limb now) And me, painting the wall and skirting where the radiator is about to be fitted....0

I was quite excited to be in a bar last night. I had non alcoholic cocktails with forbidden ice.
I like a nice bar. We got what FC described as the 'beautiful people seats'. :rotfl: Which was good too.0 -
IMHO applicants interview and display the person they think you want to see. A month into the job and you see the person they really are.
