Ok, so which one of you/your OH's was it...?

You see loads of people cycling on urban motorways here as it's legal. I think they're nuts.

I'm not sure why but it brings to mind the old joke about the bloke who gets a call from his wife.

"You must be careful dear. Apparently an idiot's driving up the motorway the wrong way. "
"An idiot?", he replies, "There are bloody hundreds of them!"

It's a lovely time of year to be in Sydney. It nice and sunny with temperatures in the mid-20s. The ride to and from work is a real pleasure.

Competition must keep the prices down, I pay a lot less than that and probably need more coverage than you.

I dye my own hair......which reminds me, it is well overdue to having it done!

I really do need to visit a hairdresser though, got to be 2 years or so since it was last cut/trimmed.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

OK, well I will trump everyone attending on the roots front as I haven't had my hair done since April 2013 and this does call for my fave emoticon .

Partly as the best deal I can get with one I trust locally costs £96 a pop but I do prefer the Blackheath Aveda place but it's a terrifying £130 odd for cut / highlights/foils thingy. Every month an extra expense crops up so I put it off...and off...and off.
Roots/hair you say? I had mine done in October 2012. I've cut some random chunks off random bits of my hair over the year, just a bit here and a bit there, as I felt random tufts were fluffy.

I've never understood why hairdressers are so expensive..... outrageous prices to sit in a tatty uncomfortable chair for an hour or two while somebody who can't even spell her own name dabs toilet bleach into your hair.

Not sure cloche hat is quite my thing. Will just walk in as quickly as possible and hope not to attract attention. IF there are photographers, which there probably won't be. It's all a bit unknown, though.
I suppose there's the odd chance that they link it to the "other" story.

I'd wear work stuff - black suit, cream / white shirt. On the first day. See how I felt thereafter.

I agree. You need to dress for court, which is essentially the same as you would wear for a job interview. (Obviously, it depends on the job!)

So, smart clothes, to show respect for both the court and the deceased. On the other hand, it is not a fashion parade. At the same time, if it is going to last a while, you need to be reasonably comfortable.

My top tip is to take a bottle of water with you.

Well we are now in our new offices at work; it's going to take some adjustment to the new noise and movement. The floor bounces when people 20' away walk on it; my monitor is on one of those new-fangled adjustable brackets, but it won't stay still / level etc; my phone had a sticky handset and the LED display was broken; my desk has damage to it; my chair has a chocolate mark where you sit ... ; my locker's main key has been lost so it has to remain insecure; we have 4 small fridges between 130 of us. We feel well ripped-off but that's the public sector for you.

I just hated it, sat there shivering with my coat on all day as part of the office had a window open and the draught blew straight over to me. There's so much movement and noise from all directions that I ended up hyper-stimulated and nearly having panic attacks.

    Hopefully tomorrow will be better.

On the plus side, I discovered a pack of Maryland choc chip cookies in the box above my fridge at home. They'll go soft if I leave any, won't they ... ?!

The bold bit made me :rotfl:

If you are concerned about press outside, maybe a cloche hat pulled down and a scarf? Just in case you don't feel like having pics taken on such an occasion.

So do I. I even bought some skiwear last year as I was planning on going to Iceland (country, not the supermarket ;)) as a getting-a-job present to myself. I chickened out of going abroad to a non-English speaking country on my own though (and figured it would be much nicer to share the experience). And the single supplements were quite substantial. :(

    That gives me an idea....:);)

Given a limitless wardrobe, I'd probably opt for a modest grey suit with plain polo neck top under the jacket. Something that says "I am going for a receptionist job interview and it is 1975"

Hmm - I make a pass at LIR by suggesting she shows me her kecks, Lemon does it by being subtle, cute, self-depricatign and humourous.

I know who my money is on to have more success and it aint me :)
    I think....
