Just the small issue of not having the money or time anymore to do that. This one will have to go to someone else. We had a perfect Worcester house project before, I'm sure there will be another.

Yup, there will always be other opportunities I guess :)

How long in the current one do you think? Also, keep meaning to ask...did you start the Architecture degree?

Michael, you know that book I recently posted a pic of, that's on the chest of drawers next to my bed? It's got a whole lot of stuff in there about how humans are massively over optimistic when estimating how much things will cost or how long they will take.

sounds like the perfect book for OH,....can you post the authors name pl.
DH and I are performing a sort of comedy sketch. DH has decreed even for me three shoes for one day are too many (dealing with foot changes more than crises of wardrobe, though the former creates the latter.) he says he'd carry them home for me at the weekend but that if I want to bring them home alone I'm going to struggle.

Also up for scrutiny have been my spare knickers (Bridget jones pants have been laughed at and unpacked.....so no one snigger at my tight clothes please tomorrow night!) ...well, they might want to prod at me having seen me. And a discussion over whether in autumn I really need a separate pair of day and night sunglasses.

I've had to unpack from the big handbag into the thing I try and pretend isn't a small weekend bag. :). Its not the size, its the weight, I keep forgetting how weak I am these days.

:rotfl::rotfl: oops just told OH about the 3 pairs of knickers.

Just come as you are, no need to pack a change of clothes. Are you coming with A Cheryl or 'To die for Ringlets'?

Since the NPT is a safe place to ask random questions...

If you were in my position, what would you wear to LNE's inquest???

Smart trouser/skirt suit but a comfortable one.....but I am sure you will look appropriate whatever you wear. Is it soon?
Most seaside places are like that ... until it's all you've got and then you realise it's pants.
    :)
Things are only lovely when you've choices and options.
...well, Margate being so cheap, you could have the choice too as I reckon you could get a house that ticks most your boxes and still have 50% of your fund leftover....but...it's kind of hard-core down there. It's got an edge to it plus there are zero PAYE jobs.
I know a lot of arty types are buying down there as it is chocka full of affordable space and it's not as hard core as Hackney.

if i were me i would wear something comfortable on the grounds of does it really matter? If i were you I suspect I would dress smart.

Does it matter? In one sense, no. It's not as though I was going to be on trial and needing to make a good impression. But one of the other claimants has a solicitor who has, err, shown signs of thinking press coverage of the case is a good idea. So it's anybody's guess whether there might be anybody there taking pics of the relatives arriving and leaving. Although if they do that they'll only see my coat because it's going to be in the depths of winter, and I assume photos won't be allowed inside the court.

Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

Just normal hair overdue for hairdresser. I was due last week but had to cancel last minute as just was too sore to sit for so long...so I have roots, and will probably be frizzy after the day out! :)

aha...to die for ringlets then :) So Jane Austen in the best sense.

OK, well I will trump everyone attending on the roots front as I haven't had my hair done since April 2013 and this does call for my fave emoticon .

Partly as the best deal I can get with one I trust locally costs £96 a pop but I do prefer the Blackheath Aveda place but it's a terrifying £130 odd for cut / highlights/foils thingy. Every month an extra expense crops up so I put it off...and off...and off.
In fact, our family home renovation is now such a money pit I do wonder if I will ever have my hair done again for the rest of my life.

If you are concerned about press outside, maybe a cloche hat pulled down and a scarf? Just in case you don't feel like having pics taken on such an occasion.

Not sure cloche hat is quite my thing. Will just walk in as quickly as possible and hope not to attract attention. IF there are photographers, which there probably won't be. It's all a bit unknown, though.

...maybe not as pulled own as VB below but something you can hide under of you choose to. I do like the beige one I found on GI. I haven't worn hats for years, almost makes me want a cloche now .

I'd wear work stuff - black suit, cream / white shirt. On the first day. See how I felt thereafter.

Competition must keep the prices down, I pay a lot less than that and probably need more coverage than you.
