DD was once out with a former boyfriend when he had puncture. She changed the wheel. He was clueless.

Glad to hear the 'former' bit.

Well, I showed somebody round some vacant allotment plots.

Then I did a very quick walk round the allotment site to check on some plots where warning letters had been sent.

This afternoon a few of us created a trench for a water pipe running from the road area to near the allotment shop (I didn't get a go on the pickaxe as I was told it would be too heavy!).

Picked up some reduced custard doughnuts as well as the milk and bread essentials, and now watching Strictly (having eaten the two doughnuts ... )

I suspect I shall sleep well tonight and ache tomorrow!!

We had that mizzle (miserable drizzle) for much of the day.

The high winds blew over both greenhouses. frown.gif

At least that prompted me to get my backside out there & pack them away. Annoyingly, one of the "doors" has a rip in it...argh.gif

Filled up the composters with all the old plants. Got all the toms in - have a windowsill full of mainly green toms now.

uckily I'd harvested the 3 chilli's I'd managed to grow thursday evening.

Lost the last batch of lettuce, but hey ho.

Not the best day/weather to spend outside...
It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.

.......as we now live in/on a building site the weekend is time to take stock and try to remove the thin layer of dust that is everywhere.

We have also been using the luxury bathroom all week as upstairs one has been ripped out + not re-installed yet so I had to manically de-limescale it and polish it lovingly with Mr Muscle window cleaner.

Today the DPC was laid (yay!) and we had 3 burly men on site most of the day.
so inbeteen cleaning, I made them tea (with 3 sugars).

Went to launderette with 3 large loads, swam 50 lengths, went to Lidl, popped into my mums to give her a photo loading lesson and another FB lesson.

OH and DD watching catch up X Faxtors and I am on here and about to go upstairs and hide under the covers with my Makers book.
