I once did a week in freight forwarders office as a favour for a mate. It was awful.
Is it in Feltham?A question for NPs - curtains that hang to the floor in a carpeted room - just brush the carpet or just clear it?
Just brush, I reckon. BUt should be a pretty close fit....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

I have:
a kalaeidescope lamp,
a reading lamp
my watch (took it off & keep forgetting to put it back on)
my pocketwatch (ditto)
a Mr Men tin a friend bought me that I'm wondering what to put in
a magnetic floating globeIt's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -
I don't even know what's amoung the clutter on my bedside table.
The lamp, my morning and evening skin care stuff..um....no idea what else. Should tidy it again really.0 -

I've been trying to post out there recently too. I don't feel I'm making any difference to anything, though.lemonjelly wrote: »I don't discriminate - I'd like to meet any NP.:)
That's more or less how I feel. I'd like to meet up again with the ones I've already met, and I'd like to meet the ones I haven't met too. I generally feel more of a wish to meet NP who've been around a long time or who post a lot, just because I feel more of a connection with them.lostinrates wrote: »I don't even know what's amoung the clutter on my bedside table.
There's no room for a bedside table in my room - or not without obstucting where the drawers under the divan need to open. I can reach across to the top of the chest of drawers, though. On there, there is a jewellery rack, a photo of me with DS and DD, a thing that ought to have a cordless phone recharging in it but currently hasn't, and a lamp. ATM there's also a copy of this:
OK, 41 reports to do tonight. See you when I've done them...Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -

When we dig a tench for oil .
When we had our oil tank installed, OH in an MSE moment dug the trench and laid the pipe from the tank to the house.
5 years later he dug through the bl**dy pipe mistaking it for a tree root.
He was genuinely surprised in a "who put that there kind of way".0 -
I've just discovered my latest knicker purchase was glow in the dark. Just scared the keepers outta me. Thought that radio active stuff had really messed up!0

I'm actually relatively sure I wouldn't want glow in the dark pants....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

You'll move to hertfordshire soon anyway (they'll probably ppr me for not using a capital there too...)
I think being an ex European driver, I look at distances a bit differently:o. 20 miles is next door. I'm in sunny Runcorn, which is round the corner from Wolverhampton;). I have an office in hertfordshire ( spot the rebellious small h:eek:), so I'm half way there and Mr Bugs' previous wife's father was Jewish, so I'm almost fitting the demographic:pneverdespairgirl wrote: »Is it in Feltham?
.
It was about 20 years ago, air freight office with a lone desk covering seafreight. I try not to think about it or the evening trying to dissuade an over amorous fire extinguisher salesman from wanting to join me in my hotel room. Feltham, fire extinguisher salesman - sounds like the start of a bad sitcom.lostinrates wrote: »I've just discovered my latest knicker purchase was glow in the dark. Just scared the keepers outta me. Not for me either. I live under a flight path, that much luminoisty could be mistaken for runway lighting.0
