That was just too prosaic, I was about to offer you some gun emplacements on the cheap!
I quite like gun emplacements. They could be used as good vegetable stores with minimal adaptation. And goose houses.
but tbh, the weapons store around here and posits means others would be able to blast us pretty easily if they wanted. Our best bet is to hope the army stay on our side really.0 -

I'm in a restaurant with DD. They've given her a beaker for her drink. I'm struggling to cope!Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

I don't discriminate - I'd like to meet any NP.:)It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -
You are, I believe, my nearest NP and I pass Wolverhampton frequently. I'd suggest waving as I go past in case it's traumatic for either of us!
Whereabouts are you bugslet? Feel free to be vague! I didn't think anyone was close. I think the doozers are about 20-30 miles away. Nikkster used to be close-ish I think? 1 hour drive away?
You'll move to hertfordshire soon anyway (they'll probably ppr me for not using a capital there too...)It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -

At least we are prepared to listen to each other in here.
When we dig a tench for oil we're throwing in cable for the CCTV too, and its occurred to me from another thread itsme and davesnave and i are on I could throw down a cable for a satellite for free sat to put a satellite on a barn, but not sure I can be bothered.
I also need to buy a pond filter to put the wire of that down another trench we are digging.
I ventured out there the other day. I couldn't believe how right wing it has become.:eek:It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -

Not for my tastes.. That certainly wasn't my problem, but I only just looked around briefly, and in a discussion about public sector pay.

Glad people liked the EA thingy. My favourites were:

It always seems a shame to leave your guests on their own while you go to the toilet. Problem solved.
But the best was when a friend was looking at the following, & the thing they thought was wrong with the photo was the picture not being central on the back wall:

Loved the opening sentence .... how classy.
And the first reply that said "No. We have a normal bedside table. With books and a lamp."
I've always knocked mumsnot .... hate the "yummy mummy" attitude.... and, anyway, single girls aren't wanted there as we've "never had kids, what do you know?"
Also LOL at:
"....into a bucket"
*hold up scores like in diving events?"
... there's 35 pages!!!
p2. "I really thought if I was going to find anyone who agreed with me it would be on mumsnet." - yeah, they are freaks there.0
