I know someone who married his rebound. In fact 25 years later he still sometimes calls her his rebound.

Thanks Viva, I had missed that, the BBC news summary I just watched didn't see fit to mention it, apparently party conferences are much more important. I wonder if 'Our Mo' will manage a marathon world record?

We hardly eat eggs and so generally apply the float test rather than going by the date on the carton. Milk we do tend to respect the date though, yoghurt will get thrown out if it is more than 2 days over but we try and eat it up when it gets close anyway. Bread we use till it tastes funny.

But then we probably throw away less than 2% of what we buy although I am now being a little careful of always making the kids clear their plates because we also don't want an obesity thang...

    Where y'all been today?

We have done soccer with DD1, lunch, birthday party for DD1 simultaneously with first communion class for DD2, pick up DD2, pick up DD1 and take her straight to swimming with brownies whilst also ferrying aunty around and various other bits of sorting out. it would have been wore if DD2 had not been too unwell to do her soccer and swimming.

Drove DD part of the way to her new home. Spent a chunk of the evening waiting for the breakdown guy coming round to replace a flat tyre. I parked down a side street so as to not block the traffic. I susually change it myself but didn't have the proper tools.

Felt like a complete dolt when I booked the breakdown guy, looked around and saw a Harvester with a huge car park so I could have waited indoors with a hot meal.:(

Who knows? About 10 minutes before he crossed the line it was clear that he was going to break the record unless something very untowards happened and I tried to post then so anyone who wanted to could watch. Unfortunately my post went into limbo-land, so instead I edited it and said that he had broken the record.

I'd love to see Mo do the same. Apparently this is a golden age in running and there are many very good runners at their peak. In the women's race a 41 year old German runner set the record for the best time for a woman over 40 of 2:24, just nine minutes outside Paula Radcliffe's world record. It would be nice if GB could hold both.

Gardening, curtain poles, collapsing quite a lot, including once causing a scene in the front garden and now think we're getting flu.

Not feeling that perky, but not on deaths door.
