My husband also feels the same way re Marr. When I watch him on Sunday he will go out of the room to avoid. Very much for the same reasons that you've stated too.
It's strange when you dislike a national treasure. When I was very young (first job) I worked round the corner from the house where Kenneth Williams lived and would regularly bump into him in a local shop. He was horrible and always rude to me so it annoyed me when he was put on a pedestal. From being a comedic superstar that had me in stitches when I was younger, he turned into a true grumpy old git. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

He comes across as a shallow snob but met his match when he got into verbal sparring with Jimmy Reid on Parkinson many moons ago. He found out the difference between being loquacious and eloquent.
I'd have liked to have been a fly on the wall during the soundchecks for that show (google it). There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -
That's a pretty comprehensive anti-Marr verdict, then!
LIR, get thee to a local reclaimed yard, and buy a door there...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

There are good ones, and I relax totally with them. My gastroenterologist and I laugh like two naughty kids at school.
His big bonus is that he doesn't try and pretend he knows all the answers.
We were talking about a bit of a scar I have and I said 'what butcher stitched that' and I blushed' and said, well, its an awkward place to get to....and it bloody hurt too. (Btw, I sincerely don't recommend it, that was quite hardcore even for me)
And he was choking on his own laughter and then got too my really big scar which is also really bad at one end and said 'lost?, No, really...?' Ad I said, no.....that's one of your lot, they even had a plastics guy try and neaten that up....and then we got the giggles again and he said maybe a few years down the line when he's patched me up we should look at neaten ing it up properly but really, that doesn't bother me in the least.0
