Really, if they had just accepted your brilliance from the start, it would have saved so much mistrust on their part - all very tiring for them:D.
Spirit, have a fabulous time!0 -
Enjoy spirit!
DS2 just back from holiday. I anxiously stood by the phone last night as I saw his first flight was late landing in Dubai and didn't now if he would make a 55 minute connection. He did, but his luggage didn't.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Dunno what they'd be inspecting if I were at work and said to let themselves in.... they're clearly inspecting "me/my lifestyle" to see if I've filled it with illegals, or knocked a wall down. It's so annoying.
Couldn't cook breakfast .... can't make lunch .... can't take a newspaper to the loo. Just waiting until they've been/gone.... which could be at any time.
I hate being a renter.
Surely just tell them they have to give you a specific time and they will not be able to come in unless they turn up at the pre appointed time. Quiet enjoyment and all that? Hardly unreasonable to specify a time for an inspection.0 -

I agree. Landlords naturally want to inspect, but it should be done in a civilised, friendly manner. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

Have you started a COMPO THREAD on the board
Gives me a break from the laundry.
In theory it is winging its way to Heathrow and will then be delivered by the airline. Alternatively it could be sat on a carousel at Dubai airport circling aimlessly for days.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Funily enough, although I used to have all mine inspected every six months, but decided (nearly ten years ago) that it was a complete waste of time and money, and stopped them. They rarely show up anything.0
