Nice one, LIR. Perhaps you should offer to have a Halloween bash, with lots of naked dancing around campfires, to make the most of having a heathen in the parish?

We do that for wassailing. :D

Halloween we stick to squash because they are really quite attractive!

Any excuse for naked campfires though......

Starting to get feed back from my little village thing now. The feed back is that the heathen done good. Can I do more again next year please.....

I read that, and it amused me for a moment to wonder what the village people would think if the heathen built a henge in her garden. Being a local thing and all...

They sound worthy of a wind up of some sort.

I'm after a good stone table. Double as outside dining table and sacrifice alter. These days things really have to be dual purpose, don't you think?

Absolutely. While you're at it, I think one of these may not go amiss in your wardrobe. With the dual purpose of keeping you dry while riding side saddle in the rain

    I love cloaks!

I really, really want a grey velvet cloak for evening wear with a silk, maybe sofly gold lining :o. Coats always look funny over evening dresses. Plus I could wear it wassailing.

I do seriously love cloaks. I find coats a bit claustrophobic.

I am watching Mark Carney on TV. I have a real urge to grab him by the eyebrows and give him some manscaping. Can we never have a governor with decent eyebrows or are the two mutually exclusive?

B4lls... thought there was something on at 9pm, but scanning through I couldn't see it, then I thought "I think it's on Thursday" so stopped looking.

So many problems finding people.... mostly cost. I am at a stage now where I'd need to spend £100 to get to the next stage, for two sets of papers. And even, having spent that, you aren't assured you'll [a] get the papers they'll yield anything you can use to get to the next step.

I had the most beautiful cloak/coat for about 20 years. It was a Salko which was an Austrian make I think. It cost £250 in 1987 and I wore it year after year so very MSE. A deep navy colour, with a detachable hood/scarf. It really was beautiful garment, got loads of admiration...although in truth I was a bit short for it and probably spoilt the look of it. NDG would have look fab in it having height and the flowing blonde hair. Its downfall was my fault. I hung in the garage one year and the metal studs on it grew verdigris.
