Welcome back! Hope all went well yesterday. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
Bugslet.
A word please. You are no good to mr bugs, nor the bugs pups if YOU don't take care of yourself too. I'm so sorry that things have been so awful, and I know talking a break won't make it all go away, but it might help keep the bp in control a little.
There are times to eat low fat and vegan. Times of stress eating well certainly helps sustain health. But a little but of what you fancy also helps. Comfort gorging not good, comfort nibbling for a bit of a chocolate or cake mood support....not always a bad move.0 -
Welcome back! Hope all went well yesterday.
Thanks.
Chickens didn't notice I'd gone, horses I didn't think had but now its clear they are ignoring me. Cats climbed up my legs to scream in my ears and now are ignoring me, dogs were just delighted to see me.
I was back this morning in time to let them out for their morning widdle so its not as if they missed a lot of me, but they 'knew' I wasn't here. It makes a difference.
Tonight its just me here, so we're all going to snuggle in the cheese room together for the evening I think.
Including the huge mouse who arrived yesterday and is living behind the cooker. I'm going to lock the cats in there all day in fact, in the hope mousey can be dealt with quickly.0 -
Oh, and I am now taking charcoal pills, like an old fashioned doggy .:) The idea is that they might reduce bloating. (I swell a LOT). They don't work. But I do like them.
I've been craving charcoal for ages (mainly in the form of biscuits though) and these seem to satisfy that craving. They just don't do anything else, I still am swollen if I eat or drink things other than water . I don't particularly mind, but it would be nice to resolve this as now it bothers everyone else.0 -
Also a day late, so....Happy Happy Happy 30 years and 1 day, Spirits!
I'm surprised how much savings NP's make with quidco and topcashback and such. I've never really looked into it, because of a "can't be bothered" attitude I'm ashamed to say...maybe I should look into it.0 -

I think you should, I will tot up mine and DHs TCB/Quidco sometime but I suspect it is over 10kIf you haven't jopined either yet I suggest you ask an NP to refer you as they then get a cash bonus, they both now have a free membership option so there is no need ot worry about using both.
LIR I hope your eating thing is resolved soon, perhaps I should worry more about the similar (although obviously much mroe minor) symptoms I get before they get out of hand. Doc proscribed some peppermint oil tablets but on the few occasions I remember to take it it doesn't seem to acheive much beyond peppermint flavoured indegestion. With something low level but very frequent it seems very hard to pin dow a specific trigger, GP usefully says it is probably just stress.I think....0 -

They've gone back to thinking mine is neurological and 'systemic' now.. Tbh, i'm a bit bemused about all this concern over it. its not that much of an issue, comparatively. I am pleased they are believing me though, they saw over six inches of 'swell' and Were amazed....and I just shrugged and said, I don't get the fuss I've been saying this for years and no one was worried, so I'm not worried...:D
But yes, take it...perhaps not 'seriously' but respectfully.0 -
Quidco's only useful if you buy things. You can only save money if you buy things. I rarely buy things and when I've looked at Quidco it's never got anything to offer me for the £10 I'll be spending that day.0

Not necessarily so, PN!
I'm reading MSE's cashback guide at http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/shopping/cashback-websites
and it seems you can get paid by just walking into shopsAnother Quidco* feature is free Android and iPhone apps that let you earn cash on the go. Walk into shops with your mobile and you get 5p-50p a time - without getting your wallet out. 37 retailers are included.
As an example, swing by a participating Homebase store, check in on Quidco's app and it pays 50p into your account. You also get a bonus for sharing your check-in on Facebook or Twitter
Imagine that...50p in your account and the added bonus of being able to share with us on Facebook what an AMAZING life you lead.0 -
Phew, generali is posting...the world has not ended.0
