    This is something that took me a little by surprise, even as a native.

    If you step out into Tbilisi, there seems to be an endless supply of BMW, Mercedes etc vehicles on the streets, and not all of them old.

    I think it's easy to forget sometimes, that the money in Georgia is from those that worked abroad for several years (my parents did, and never returned), and that, as this shows, there is not that much money in some parts of the country for anything.

    Georgia is definitely the USSR state to come out worst overall, IMO.

    Belated Happy Birthday Mr & Mrs Spirit and well done to you both!

    CK, that was interesting and scary.

    I am back after a couple of fraught weeks after Mr Bugs was admitted to hospital, it's 'only' his dementia that is taking a turn for the worse, there was concern initially that his cancer had kicked on, but it's still lurking instead.

    And last week my BP measured 224/126:eek::eek::eek:

    So ommmmm to the NPs as I practise my deep breathing and de-stressing whilst nibbling something non fat and vegan. I have lost 6lbs though which is rather nice - nothing like fear to motivate you is there:o?

    I will try and catch up with how everyone is and where they are slowly!
