Catowen, pleased to hear your friend's DD is coping well, so much to deal with for her, I hope she is ok
Hugs to anyone who needs one. I must get cracking as we have loads to do before we go away on Monday. Dogs have been out so goingto wake DP up in a mo so we can make a start on his shed, need to sort through and make room for trampoline. Fingers crossed the weather cheers up, don't want a full week of rain like last time we went to Blackpool! One day I might be more organised...........

Morning everyone!
<ivyleaf> so sorry to hear about your cat. And congratulations, of course.
<PenPin> your poor tum.
DH is not working today, so we're putting up the trellis at the back of the now flattened concretery. We're going to be moving the fountain too, fingers crossed that he's planning on doing that today as well, as that will be the last of the old concretery arrangement sorted. I can't believe how much extra space we've got now that the concrete stuff has gone. We're going to hard landscape the area and put the table and chairs there.
Already done my three gym sessions this week, so no need to go today. Had a Family Planning appt today to discuss having an IUS fitted. Because I have had a DVT/embollism and have thrombophilia, my choices are very limited, but I've decided to go ahead.
Went to see DDIL1 and DGD yesterday, took her some strawberries from the garden. She's so lovely. I'm really lucky with the kids' choices of partners.
Popped to the Fishmonger for this week's attempt. Today we're having dover sole baked a parmesan crust. I'm starting to think I'm never going to find a fish I can tolerate, never mind one i can actually enjoy! I tried smoked mackerel for the second time last weekend (this time I steamed it with lots of lemon to try and weaken the taste) and it was still horrible. Just the thought of the texture sends shivers down my spine. I also tried DH's grilled Butterfish (another definite NO). If the Sole doesn't work then I've got two more groups of fish to try before I give up.
Been busy picking raspberries (sooo early!), and I've been keeping them in a vacuum box in the fridge. I want to get enough to make jam.
Cucumbers are ripe, so I'm having lots of that in salad. I might have cucmber sandwiches for my lunch, I just loooove cucumber.
Plan to do a whirlwind swish and swipe throughout today, just to get things looking straight. It's our village carnival this weekend, so I expect we'll go and watch the donkey derby this evening...although I always feel sorry for the donkeys.
Have a good day everyone!

Well, it's been lovely up here today weather-wise, hope it lasts into the evening as we're planning a trip up to Blackpool tonight for fish & chips on the seafront.
OH was moaning the need for "stodge" last night, so I've got a yoghurt cake in the oven. It's my first attempt, so I hope it turns out OK.
Hope you're all OK, hugs to Haribo, Scuzz & PP, and anyone else who wants one. Better go check the cake.............0 -
Only another 250 words:D ...and Im done!!
Another washload of bedding has been done and put on the line. Was able to dry both lots outside as the sun came out.
OH found another huge box of Persil tablets in the garage which I thought had all been used up. Theres probably enough for about 3-4 months. Got them at Makro when they were on special at £4.99, they have Comfort added so make the items smell lovely!
DH, bless him booked a surprise for us to stay at Eastbourne for 1 night through the 6 weeks holidays. We used to go there sometimes when we were going out. It was on the £15 deal and he has suggested going to Polgate Bootsale early on the Sunday, lunch out then stay there on the Sunday night. There is a lovely beach there so we can take a stroll (roll:D )along Sunday and get some Fish & Chips then spend Monday in Eastbourne at the beach or looking around
DD & OH are going to Asda after school to get some nibbles for later.
Hope everyone is OK. Hugs

GOOD AFTERNOON ALL!
I am having possibly the best day I've had in a long while, so hoping some of my positive vibes rub off on those who need hugs and a bit of positivity in their lives. Sending them your way ~~~~~~~>
Now, the reason for the good mood. I had my six month review today, and it was fab. I've been working to a development plan for the past few months with the aim of advancing myself, and I've been told today that its worked - they can approve a 2k raise, and I get to call myself Senior Consultant once its gone through. Not sure how quickly the money will come my way, but its sorely needed. (As posted previously, my husband can't contribute to the family money, so its all on me.)
Also, we're having a reshuffle and my manager lost his job. He's just confirmed that he's got a new one and that he'll still be my manager. Thats fab as he's a really nice bloke, and the guy behind my development plan.
Still no news about my remortgage, but hey, I've had enough good news for one day.
Oh yes, and tomorrow mornings overtime might not be needed, so I might get a lie in for a change. Fed up of getting up at 6am to reach the office by 9.
Going to Wetherspoons for tea tonight to celebrate.
Hugs to all and sundry, and apologies for not reading the days thread. (Sat at my desk grinning like a loon.)
