Went for that interview yesterday, and had a phonecall an hour after, and Ive got the job :j :j They want me to start next week.

Finished my current job yesterday, so this new job couldnt have come at a better time, no unemployed time now, straight from one job to another. Was really worried about not having a job, but all sorted now :D

Off out in a min to drop kids to nursery, then gotta go into town and do a few bits.

Off to see Jimmy Carr live this evening in Plymouth, should be a really good nite, I think Jimmy Carr is so funny :rotfl:

    I've been Money Tipped!
    :hello: Morning!
Just checking in quickly as I am off to the dentist soon! I will get the results of my visit to consultant so will see what they can do, Definately got a filling today though!
Not been posting for a couple of days as I had a migraine (yuk) so that slowed me down a bit. Last night visited friend in hospital and although she is still very ill last night she could just about manage to wiggle her toes on left hand side :j so we are hopeful that there could be some more improvement but it might be a slow progress.
Ivyleaf - Have a lovely time in France!
Kyle - So glad you got the leaflets ok, thought lo would like the sticker!
    (((hugs)))

    Morning all,

Not had a chance to read the posts but I hope everyone is well - hugs to all who needs them.

I'm working from home this morning as I was having a bit of a mental block in the office so I've got some washing on, the breadmaker going with a bagel mix and three cats snapping round my ankles thinking they'll be endlessly fed! But hopefully I'll get lots of work done too!

I have a few vegetables that need using up which I'm going to make something freezable to go onto the week after next's meal plan but not quite sure what's the best thing to do with them as they're quite a motley crew but I really would like to do something today as I'm not around over the weekend and I think they'll be too old by Monday. I will probably make a big batch of Thai Green Curry failing any other inspiration but if anyone has a great idea I'd love to hear it!

    I have:
Must be used or thrown away :(
    • mushrooms
    • 3 courgettes
    • 3 leeks
    • broccoli
    • tomatoes

Could be added to the mix
    • potatoes
    • sweet potatoes
    • onions
    • all manner of canned goods!
    • frozen spinach
    • frozen broad beans

    ideas v.gladly accepted!

    Have a lovely morning xxx

    Good morning all

PenPen - Thanks for asking - DD will be home early evening - just hoping the weather across the channel calms down a bit.

Huge thunder storms and lots of localisd flooding here today - DH said on his drive in this morning that everyone in the car actually lifted their feet at one stage as they were sure the water would come in the doors. Lots of silly people not adjusting their driving speeds either and 2 major accidents on the local roads - some people just seem to have no sense.

DD2 is off today so she wants to make a "welcome home" cake for her sister - she's thinking chocolate cake with melted mars bars on the top - I'm liking that idea!!

Sorted out my airing cupboard and bed linen chest yesterday - found loads of old bits and bobs to get rid of, shoved them on freecycle and they've been claimed for one of the local dog rescue centres which I'm very happy about - some people on my local group seem to grab everything and anything whether they really want it or not - greed I suppose.

Catowen - I watched "how clean is your house" last night too - was impressed with the mayo to get stickers off - never thought about that before.

Hope you all have a great day.

    Morning all!!!! :hello:
Have fun welcoming hubby home Pen Pen. ;)
Well done on the job icecubequeen :j
Nice to see you back Mrs Flittersnoop. :D

Well, I'm no longer missing in action. :o Thanks to all of you who sent good wishes my way for my hospital visit and who enquired about my wherabouts. I have logged on to post a few times but after i've caught up on all the news there's no time left to post.
The trip to Newcastle was great. We had a night in Glasgow on the way and thyat was fun. We made it to newcastle in plenty of time and the appt went as well as can be expected. I am now seeing the top neurologist in the country so I suppose it's worth the drive. He has some new ideas for me and wants to try some new tests. ( I have a vague diagnosis but this condition seems so rare that in 25 years he has never encountered anyone with my exact symptoms) :o He also wants to repeat alot of the tests that the docs in Glasgow did including another biopsy which peed me off a bit cos the one I had last year has left me with a 3 inch scar on my leg. icon9.gif
We had a fab night out after the appt and went to a Greek reteraunt and ate (and drank) far too much. Then back to Glasgow in the morning where OH left me to stay until Wednesday to PICK UP MY NEW CAR.!!!!!! :j :j :j
    It's fab and I love it. :D
So we've had lots of lovely drives round the coast in the evenings. Booked our holiday yesterday and we leave on the 26th. :j No crash diet on earth is going to get this bum ready for a bikini so I have invested in a colourful selection of Sarongs. ;)
I'm quite on the ball this am and DW, WM, BM and YM are on. Kitchen and bathroom are swished so just floors and beds to do after my coffee. Then I'm off to the school to help out with sports day. It's the girls first one and they're ever so excited.
Next thursday is their birthday and i've done nothing yet so need to think about that this weekend. Other than that there's nowt much else happening.

    Take care all.

    Haribo x

Ooh forgot to say. While I was waiting for OH to get off the plane from London on Sunday night I saw Kenny Logan with one of his twins. He gave me a bit of a smile and I got a very dirty look from Gabby who was behind him. :o He is quite attractive but a bit short for my liking. Gabby was very pretty but very very very skinny and stressed out. I did feel for her cos I remember lugging twins through the airport lounge. Saw Colin Jackson too but he isn't nearly so fanciable IMO. ;):o:D

    Morning All,

Gosh how bright and breezy you all are so early in the morning! How do you manage to do it?

Here I'm as stiff as a board. I slept like a log thru to just before 8, but it means my body feels as stiff as a log. Plus 3 hrs trying to clear scrub at the allotment yesterday followed by 2 hrs sorting through containers at home stiffened some muscles too. I feel like a very very old person :rotfl:

Got bitten or something again at the allotment. This happened to my leg last Friday and the swelling stretched as far as my outspanned hand and was half an inch deep - right on the inner thigh where every trouser seam caught it. That's just gone but yesterday my knee got done, and a bite on my other leg. Didn't notice it happening at all until I got home! Knee red and very hot, and bite growing. Took anti-histamine the minute I got home and realised but it's hard to bend the knee this morning. :(

Took kitten down to lottie with me as he wouldn't settle to sleep. He had great fun playing with the grass I was pulling up, but it was exhausting keeping one eye on him. Tried not to go too far away from him in case of any birds of prey passing overhead (the allotment is right by some fields)! He'd make a small mouthful for a hawk. He got tuckered out though - which is probably why he slept all night.

Well have to plan for tonights dinner. OH is home tonight. Any ideas what I can give him to make him sleep - he manages about 1 good night in 7, which means I don't sleep well the days he's home tossing and turning!

    Have a good day folks!

Jet77 - have you tried putting a wanted ad on your local freecycle for chicken wire?

Good morning, hope all are well and hugs to anyone who would like/needs them

shopping today not a huge amount needed but its 8th june and i have yet to spend anything since last friday(and the only bought milk, and bread) which is a huge achievement for me sure the boys will try and help me make up for that.

sun is shineing which is always a bonus caught up with the washing and ironing last night so now of that to do today (as i have now cut back on some).

did everything i needed to before bed last night (and got to bed just before 1) so today is going to be spent totally with the boys apart from some breakfast washing up its all done.

    have a good day
