Good Morning all
Overcast here in Berkshire today, but I've put the washing on the line as I'm off to work in a mo, hubby will rush out & get it in if it rains.
Not much else happening here, may have another lodger from school for the last 3 weeks of term, if so I will have to bog out the spare room & find a home for all my stock & all my dressmaking stuff for 3 weeks. It will be chaos, lol, But if she pays it will help make up for any shortfall from existing lodger!!!
I warned hubby last night that the spare room might need emptying into our bedroom, he just grinned & and said ' ok darling whatever' & I know he'll do all the moving & shifting, he won't let me do any of it.
I took a tin full of bread & butter pudding to work yesterday & it was all eaten by 10am, lol.
Thumper & Ogden are fed & watered, toast & tea for me. HM fish & chips tonight as it's Friday.
I must phone round a few agencys & see if I can line up some work during the summer hols as I've already worked my quota of admin days at school.
Must go now or I'll be late.
Hugs to all.
Hester

Morning all
Overcast here today, was going to put the wm on, but might have a rethink. Shopping today, probably Aldi and Asda, but might nip into Netto for a quick bargain hunt
Made bread and a cake yesterday in my new MR bm, and both were lovely. Homemade leek and potato soup and hm bread for lunch, and think I will make a Chinese for dinner with duck and pancakes.
Hope everyone has a good day xYou're only young once, but you can be immature forever0 -
Hi,
Hope every1's well and big ((HUGS)) to those who want/need them (especially Scuzz - sounds like ur worth more than the way ur being treated by bf).
I haven't posted for over a week and have missed u guys:beer:. I've given myself a week off MSE - does any1 else need a break sometimes?. Well - I overload myself with MSEing for a few months (because I'm addicted) and then I find I need a break.
Lots of things have been happening for me. Does any1 remember the date I went on at the begining of May to the cinema? Well we ended up meeting again and I didn't think it was poss for me to feel 'love' feelings again (heart skipping a beat, tummy flipping etc...) but I have been. Unfortunately he has gone to work in Belgium for 3 months and we've both got so much going on in our personal lives that I'm just left with my lovely thoughts and memories of the 2 times we met!! I think it's prob best for the time being coz I only came out of an 8 yr relationship at Xmas (and I never had feelings like this for him:rotfl: ) and I don't want to go diving in on the rebound.
Dogs had the snip coz next doors !!!!! is in season (I think it's too late tho coz he got over the fence - so I'm dreading 9 weeks time). I need to get a nice thick rope so I can tie him up in the garden and not have to stress about him jumping the fence all the time. I was thinking about getting some chicken wire to block where he's getting through next door but not sure where from - does any1 else know?
My boss has said that I can work from home :T :Tand just go in for meetings/archiving a couple of times a month. This will help me out so much and really relieve a good bit of my stress
I should be set up with a laptop within the next couple of weeks!!:T
My tenants house has had the window smashed at the front so I'm claiming off my insurance with a lovely 150 excess  (ouch)
I've been approved for some housing benefit - 25 pounds a week less than the entitledto.co.uk calculator says - so I need to query this in writing - however every little helps and with backpay from Jan I'm hoping I should get enough to clear my Lloyds OD  :money:
Housework - why does it never end
Today I've got my 3rd counselling session and then am picking up DD2 from Nursery. My niece stayed over last night so they were up til late and out of bed at 6 so I think she will drop off after lunch and I will do some baking for next weeks lunch boxes.
I need to do a storecupboard list and see what I need to buy to top up for next weeks meals as there is only bits and pieces in my feezer. My butcher does a week supply of meat for about a tenner and I was thinking of going for that for a change and cooking it all off and freezing in portion sizes. I've got no idea what we are eating for dinner today, but b/fast is underway and lunch will be chsy beans on toast with apple for pud.
Hope every1 has a gr8 day,

Morning all
As we're all giving weather updates it's overcast here to. Hopefully it will get better later.
Well not much going on with me today apart from the same old same old. We went out to look for the new car last night and ended up in one of those car suppermarkets. Oh how awful, I would say the pressure they put on you to buy is akin to bullying  Needless to say we weren't that impressed so the search still continues.
Off with OH to hospital this evening as the problem he had that sent him to hospital for 2 weeks last year has returned so hopefully we might get some answers this time.
Anyway, I suppose I should crack on. HOpe you are all ok but if not take or leave the :grouphug: as needed. You laugh because I'm different - I laugh because you're all the same0 -
Morning all! It's been ages since I posted on here, life got in the way, grr and today's no better but at least I'm able to get online this morning....
It's COLD here!! and dull and cloudy, whatever happened to flamin' June?
Anyway I'm off to my mum's today, a two hour drive away, my sisters and I are taking her out tomorrow for a day out with her darling children, she wants to either go to the seaside or somewhere else if it rains. So I have a loaf of bread about to finish baking in the BM to take with me (younger sis is addicted to my seeded bread
) and I have to hastily wrap my older sis's birthday pressie to take with me before I dash out of the door at 11. All very OS though
I've made her present this year, she wanted a new laundry bag, very birthday-ish:rotfl: :rotfl:
Going to take a sandwich with me for lunch since Mum never has anything in the house I want to eat and younger sis has ideas about taking Mum to the supermarket and BUYING a sandwich lunch!!! Don't think so!! :rotfl: and I will also take the makings of some supper for sis and I, Mum likes a High Tea with bread and cakes, not good for us old biddies on a permanent diet......
See you soon, OSers! I'll be back after the weekend but as work tends to get in the way, not sure when I'll get to post again......
Enjoy your day!

Good morning my dear OSers,
Just a quickie, as my guests arrive at 11.00 so there's cooking to do:eek: . I'm a bit rusty as I've only been cooking for me for a while. However it's only kedgeree to make, will be fine!
N9eav, glad you sold your boat and can reclaim space.
Hardup Hester, well done on finding another lodger. Will be worth the upheaval.
Aussielass, enjoy ireland - had two brilliant hols there when I was a teenager.
Scuzz, well done on your pay rise, hope you're feeling a wee bit better
PenPin, hope your treatment is going better
HUGS to all in need ((( )))
Well, my dentist ended up completely drilling out the fillings from two neighbouring teeth - fillings had crumbled with age. So it was a long job, and I felt she was packing in half the world's mercury reserves .  ... other side next week. Plus the bill..... After that the optician was a doddle!
Have a lovely day wherever you are

Good morning ladies and jellyspoons
Hugs to everyone that needs them and all good wishes that your problems will soon be over, and life with get better and healthier for all those that have life or health problems.
I'm feeling rather chipper today, sat here with a hair dye on (covering up my grey) have treated myself to a home spa gift set on the last Boots online shop and plan a pampering session today (because I'm worth it)
Tomorrow is a big day, finally going to brave the crowds and I'm off to Ryton organic gardens, so my herb fix will meet its quoted. Have decided I can't keep letting the agrophobia beat me and leave me stuck in the house. In fact have decided all the things that have happened in the past aren't my fault and I really do need to treat myself better and stop beating myself up, DH raised an eyebrow and gave me that 'at last' look when I made the annoucement. Lets call it late development of a positive mental attitude, or I could be just mental lol! DH has come up with a series of things to do for the next few months eg Gardeners World next weekend, all with flower/herb themes so I'll have a distraction, and I'm trying to not think about what will go wrong and what if I get a panic attack etc. The plan is to have a lovely day, wish me luck!
Congrats on selling the boat N9eav
Pen-Pen I can't believe that report, although my nephew did ask me what animal bacon came from, he's almost 6  I'm not having any font issue but then as donny-gal said I've never changed mine?
Got lots of work to do this morning/afternoon and some tidying to do, if I get chance I'll get some baking done. WM is on, there is a promise that the sun will come out, if not then there's always the maiden in the spare bedroomBM to go on next after my shower and hair dye removal and I may even get my cross stitching out later for when I'm watching gardeners world. Have a good day everybody

Hello
Been pouring with rain all night and we had a huge storm which knocked out the power, so had to have a bath in the dark - not good when having to shave!!!! Very tired as the thunder and hammering rain kept me awake all night
Still really mad with "friend". Not speaking to them for what they've done.
Had a look at our new recycling bins from the council - how confusing. You can hardly recycle anything, yet at the bank down the road, they take everything!
Running Race for Life on Sunday. Hit my £100 target this morning:T Just hope it's not raining when I do it now!Comping, Clicking & Saving for Change0
